And I'll get that bolt chaser back to you when I can swing by the PO child free tmrw.
No worries on it... I have no immediate need for it so whenever you get the chance is fine!

So I had the manifold back on but to my annoyance one flange had a smidge of a lip that was keeping the last bolt from threading in.
Here it resides on my favorite metal shaving catching sawhorse.... again.
What do these two weigh together anyhow? I'm getting pretty good at putting it on and pulling it off.

Good job Felicity. It makes me smile and think back to when I rebuilt my 2F. First motor I ever rebuilt and it is running great 3000 miles later. Your attention to detail will be rewarded with a good running engine.:)

Thanks Jer, I appreciate the compliment! I went to your build and started reading. Now I remember reading it ages ago and being dumbfound and in awe. And now here I am. Only a top end but it's still huge for girl working on it part time in her driveway w/ far less 'right' tools too!
At some point I am planning on pulling my oil pan and swapping it for a better one that I bought years ago for my old truck. I keep thinking I ought to do it sooner than later but I think I'm in deep enough for now!
A friend said to me today on the phone 'how close are you to firing that thing up?!' Chuckling I told him I still have most my coolant lines, I need to pull the diz again, the list goes on as you all know.

We should add Felicity to the local Mechanics registry
:hillbilly:
No way man. I'm busy enough w/ my own truck much less someone else's!

Manifolds are back on and torqued.
Pulled the oil cooler and the oil filter bracket.
And this beer of choice is far superior to the Narragansett. Last time I had a Fat Tire was in Dillon (if I'm remembering right), MT at a bar overlooking the lake where a town used to be which is now submerged. @freepowder? I need a reminder on my MT history, I'm betting you know it too :)
Happy wrenching afternoon!
Felicity

No fruit beers for me. Never liked them. Same as my coffee. Thanks for the kudos @LAMBCRUSHER!

Now I normally agree on the fruit beers, but grapefruit sculpin is not fruity, it pulls more of the citrus notes from the hops. It is a great warm weather beer.

Oil filter bracket wiped semi clean, reattached then oil cooler cleaned and painted w/ new o-rings and copper gaskets on the hollow bolts.

Lower thermostat housing reattached. BVSV 1 & 2 hooked into place.
Rear heater connections added back onto the manifold w/ high temp thread sealant.

Nice work.. And agree about the Grapefruit Sculpin, not overly fruity but nice citrus notes... However, STAY AWAY from GOSE style beers.. BLEH!!!! The one I had, Anderson Valley (normally good brewery) Watermelon Gose tasted like someone took a PBR and threw a couple of Watermelon WarHeads into it... BLEH!

Oh and please tell me you are going to straighten that heater valve pipe out on the firewall.. Driving my OCD nuts!!

It's a good thing it's my truck then and not yours! ;)
