Well ****! Upside down is the new cool I’ve heard. Thanks tips!!! Ozzie’s run them upside down all the time. Sucks to be on the bottom.

Tops off but the swing out tire carrier was pivoting with the door. Custom and cool but the rear door had to be removed for summer time. So I went the quickest simplest route. Lock out pin.

And I had to paint the top of the tub too.

Next I’ll drop the window and get the defrost vents working

Hard to tell my insane tin bashing skills. But I do now have defrost to the driver side, just in time for our non-moist summer.

I think Justin would agree.

The foam dash was all that was securing the window frame in place. I guess that’s why the non-hinged window bracke was factory from Brazil. Problem solved.

Nice. Probably stronger than factory. Mine doesn't sit 100 percent even, bigger gap on the top of the right hand door. The brackets flex a fair bit.

Probably due to my old gasket being rock hard. 😒

I also installed a 60 series vacuum booster upside down. My brakes are awesome now. Time to adjust the parking brake now that the brakes are not constantly getting harder.

Excellent. I did the same with an 80 series Master & Booster… they are very predictable… but almost over boosted. 4 wheel discs that require next to no pressure on the pedal.

Ya, the 80 series have a bigger bore in the MC to provide enough juice to the disks. I did the same on my 60 series when I went with the 80 series full floater/ disks.

TJ soft top first fit. I thinks it’s a bit high. It that’s better than too low. I can cut her down a smidge.

Regular zap straps for now. Just for the test fit. Might go get metal imbedded ones or cut slots for the Jeep clamps?

Cool. I was sorely tempted to grab a cheap newer jeep top to chop up for my little cab.

Looks like they're made of tougher fabric than the old bestops.

Turns out my braking problem was the master and the booster. Unfortunately right after I used my last 60 series booster, my Bj60 brakes locked on and now I need a 60 series booster. Who's got a pile of them????

All good! I found an 80 series booster on amazon for $140 to the door. Hopefully its better than any old 40 year booster?

80 boosters really wake up a 40s brakes... The studs are longer, you'll need to flip it over, add a check valve, and ideally a spacer between the booster and firewall (but not entirely necessary .

It’s for a bj60

$124.31

A bargain if it is as good as they claim. I’d like to see more than 12 months warranty. Although, 12 months should get you past any defects, and if it last 12 months it should last much longer.

Can’t buy much for $125 these days. A set of brake shoes for my other truck was $165 + tax… :(

Pads for the 40 were $47 for the front and $43 for the rear.

My amazon linked to eBay for $85. Dealer is in Georgia, US. So that may be $US plus shipping so that is a good deal in $Can.
Looks like the real deal to me. Thanks CD
