Jim is referring to the 80 rear view mirror. You’re spot on about the 70 series side view mirrors. Great upgrade and I believe they are already on Zeeks blue truck. Or maybe they are the 60 Euro mirrors. Truck has been picked up so I can’t verify.

This is an interesting one. I don’t work on 100 series too often. I local guy I met at the Spring Branch cafe a year or so ago called me out of the blue last week. Said he was getting some noise out of the back end. Drivers inside pad was metal on metal. So had him order two new rotors and pads. Pulled the drivers side rather easily and the passenger side started dropping parking brake springs, washers etc when I got the drum about half way off. Nothing would pull it beyond the tip of the wheel studs. First mistake was to keep trying. Finally decided to cut it off which worked out beautifully. I was able backoff the star thing-a-ma-gingey. Everything went back beautifully This guy is one of the coolest dudes I’ve met recently. 50 years as a furniture maker. Has his own mill shop down on Rebecca creek on the north side of the lake. Would not let him pay and he promised he would surprise me with something that has his thumb print on it. Saw his workspace and I can only say I’ve never seen anything quite like it. He’s definitely an artist.

I don’t have words to describe him. Just *****ng cool. After Vietnam he went to St Edward’s. Played guitar in a band and opened for Willy Nelson (late 70’s). He was also featured on Texas Country Reporter with Bob Phillips. All this while honing his craft in wood work.

Ah yes Chris. You know…I did pick up a 61 in the Orlando area years back but it did not have any plates on it. That wall on the barn is sorta a road map of where a lot of the trucks have come from. That and a few donated plates .

531 miles, 9 hours driving after and impromptu drop off of Travis’s 61.

The E55 is a bit more comfy than the 60. Felt like cheating to drive it to Jimmy’s cruiser Mecca.

Undo all the bush fixes from the 4 continents of touring that truck has done.

Mostly, Add AC and undo a lot of wiring that is questionable on the house side.

Still thinking through things on Travis’s 61. I’ll attempt to install a custom AC system. I know the factory setup very well, so should be able to follow the directions in the kit . And work to neutralize some of the PO’s creative wiring for the many interesting electronics onboard. Both of these are new to me as I’ve typically only worked on OEM stuff and factory settings. I’m about to learn some things in the “customization world”.
