Awesome choice in clothing, Rudi! And happy birthday too, mate.

Made a mess :)

Wrestled with the transmission drain and fill plugs for about an hour. 1/2 can of PB blaster, drained the oil/pulled the filter while waiting (PO had tightened filter to a degree I had never seen :bang:).

Changed out the transmission fluid, added MAF magnetic, 10mm allen wrench drain and fill plugs. Then refilled the oil. Realized 4 quarts later that I had forgotten to reinstall the oil drain plug. ROOKIE MISTAKE.

EXXON VALDEZ in driveway. :bang:

Dropped rear driveshaft in an effort to narrow down my elusive transmission rattle. Wasn't coming from the rear driveshaft.

Ran out of daylight before I got to the one thing I was actually planning on doing today, which was looking into why my parking brake doesn't work. :bang:

Overuse of the head-smashing-into-wall emoticon? Absolutely. Learned a ton along the way, and narrowed down the rattle that much more.

REMEMBER TO PLUG YOUR DRAINS FOLKS :o

Finally started rewiring it... 3 wires at a time. That's about my limit before I'm annoyed and come inside. Good news is that there are only 21 wires that are needing to be replaced so even at my uberslow pace, I should have her back on the road in a week. :) In time to get some wheeling in before the snow comes and takes away all the pretty places in the Sierras for a while.

Reinstalled the seats
fitted nice brand new seat belts
installed battery box in its final location
wired up the amp power and ground
ripped out the non functioning heater value ready to replace

Started pulling my fj apart inorder to swap in my new cam.
