Replaced busted internally regulated 75 amp alternator with a 100 amp power master. Cured a lot of the back firing and the headlights are visible!

FJ62 tach goes to 5k instead of 4k is another difference.

Because the 3FE is a de-stroked 2F, trying to milk a little more rpm and hp out of the F-series before abandoning it for the FZJ.

... wonder if there's a break-in for a valve job.

If done right there shouldn't be. The old-school way was to hand-lap the valves and seats after cutting the angle on the seats, but with all the fancy new mult-angle cutting machines and etc., I'd be surprised if many machine shops did hand-lapping anymore. It wouldn't hurt to take it a little easy for a few hundred miles, but the biggest factor by far helping your valves to last a a long time is to not ever lug the engine. That will burn exhaust valves in a hurry.

Thanks for the shout out @Chungas Revenge . I don't usually sell the decals alone as they are for the kits I am helping move for @Mopdog who originally designed the kits. If you really need one, please PM me and I can see if I have extras in your desired flavor. I have 4k, 5k and 6k variants for the three Autometer tachs that the TeqTach kit is designed for.

For those looking for using an aftermarket tachometer, the kit I am currently offering is designed to work with the Autometer 2888, 2890, or 2891 directly. You can find the kit for sale at Home - https://teqtach.com and if you PM me I can send a discount code for Mud users.

That time of the year again. Winter is here so time to lose the roof and doors.

In a holding pattern waiting on delivery of inner c-clip for the right front axle. first pic is the driver side cleaned up and after fitting new birfield. Right side before and after shot. going to clean and check the diff and reinstall it. I have the SUMO knuckle rebuild kit and lots of grease to repack.

Thoughts...... I have a Deyoung rainbow trout wrap that I am.planning to put on the hood, took this old cheap fly rod that I had forgotten about and a reel that was shot and built this hood ornament. The holes in the hood were already there. Need a longer bolt in the back to get the cork off the hood......

Love it. I've been pondering modifying one of his rugs to fit in the back of the 40.
