That’s how you handle tractor-trailer tires. Age old trick for the heavy stuff.

That turned out great. I might steal this idea.Built my new bumper, mounted it and installed the mighty 8274. I had an old bumper with an original Warn winch plate. The bumper was busted up, but the plate was still good. I had a local shop bend up a piece of 1/4" steel for the bumper. Next up is wiring the winch.
Has anyone installed the gigglepin contactor in the engine bay? I would love to see some pictures as I am trying to find space in mine.

I wish I could take credit, but that is an original Warn winch plate from an old bumper. I couldn't use the bumper it was mounted on, so I cut it off and made a new one.The W is a nice touch, that you?
Has anyone used either of these winch ropes? Thoughts?

Hey @Flatlanderfj40, would you mind sharing any pics of your engine bay with the solenoid/ contactor setup? Much appreciated!I think he's still using solenoids, but @Flatlanderfj40 moved the entire control pack into his engine bay. Pretty sweet set up. I bet he'll post some pictures if you ask nice.
Ford starter solenoids on a bracket we built and attached to the batter tray. Im traveling and this is the best pic I’ve got. PM me if you would like more and I’d be happy to take them for you.Hey @Flatlanderfj40, would you mind sharing any pics of your engine bay with the solenoid/ contactor setup? Much appreciated!

Where did you get your double seal kit? Its on my (long) list of things to do this seasonE-brake. Check the seal, you're probably going to see something that looks like this. Output shaft seal gone bad. Double seal kit and a little FIPG on the splines. There’s a couple different vendors who can hook you up. Several threads on the culprit and the institutional remedies.

MONSTER AMBER YELLOWS RIGHT THERE......I am doing similar soon, inspired by FJ Company with my '81.Have some good maintenance parts on the bench, full cage ready for welding this weekend, an OP front bumper to add, and a rear axle service with an ARB seal kit ready to update, if I don’t make a complete change to a 60 axle!
But till then!!!! View attachment 3319233
I did this a few weeks ago. I went just a touch undersize for a tighter fit. I'm super happy with the results.Got around to replacing my steering wheel cover this morning, here’s to hoping for another 15 years
