Painted the valve cover (old pic for comparo), installed the dizzy, cheap Amazon roof racks seem decent, tinkered with some other stuff.

Mark - the only complication I see is that the Chariot tomorrow with be a jeep! Ha. Might be the only jeep there tomorrow, and would be easy to spot.
Well, it’s 10 now, and I’ve got some more errands to run. Gonna have to take your seats back to Burbank

My two year old has been watching me work on my yellow 40 over the last few weeks and yesterday saw me using the floor jack to rotate tires. This evening he rolled the jack out himself and had me show him how to use it. I swear he raised and dropped his little cruiser two dozen times. Kinda funny because I've seen adults who don't know how to use one.

What’s his going rate?

What does that clear cylinder thingy do on the side of the distributor? Is that oem toyota?

It's OEM Toyota (Toyota box, sticker, part #) from a 3fe. Fits perfectly in a 1f/2f. That clear knob is an octane adjustment knob. Its basically a mechanical advance/retard to compensate for different octane fuels - also good for elevation adjustments.

I live in Central FL so it most likely won't get touched.

Man everyone else (mostly) out west is getting dumped on. Nice day? Where's your snow? :p

We have had a lot this year. This is the most melt we have seen since Nov. Still have about 10 inches in the front yard, But Ill take the 55 degrees we had today.

Lucky you, I was doing this yesterday. 11 feet on my property so far.

I'm not surprised. I wasn't impressed with them either.
Still plugging away on the valley area between the door and the passenger seat mound. Have some touch ups to do but it’s looking factory again.

Have to plug a new tool that’s changing my life. Anyone doing body work on a 40 should get the new Milwaukee bandfile. No affiliation, just trying to help ya’ll out with those difficult to reach areas.

lots of hours getting that contour correct. Had to utilize three separate pieces because I don’t have the skill to do it all in one sheet!

Starter motor was starting to die and I don't want to be stranded high and dry when does eventually go.

Anyone who has ever had to get at the starter on a 1 or 2uz knows what this entailed....

Intake manifold off

At least a good chance to clean up...

and inspect the intake manifold itself. Looks nice and golden

Put new contacts in the starter and put it all back together.

Now she starts on the first touch of the button

Looks like you have a decent space to loosen the erg pipe, on an old LS that was the worst Part of the job.
Nice build you have there going.👍

Wish I had checked the FSM first to see that it doesn’t go this far into the steering box.
Guess I shouldn't have either. Luckily I haven't lost my balls. Yet!
