I made a small milestone in my slow moving 68' FJ40 project. The drive train, from the 3F-E motor to the tires, has been installed with all components replaced & upgraded, rebuilt or gone through.
I have much work to do routing brake, clutch, & power steering lines, exhaust, and *gasp* integrating the FJ62 wiring into my FJ40 wiring harness.
After that, I have body work, & painting to do.

You have a layout for those railroad cars?
I wouldn't call it a layout, but, it might grow into something. Some '70s Tycho HO, some '90s from Hobby Lobby, currently Bachmann AT&SF and D&RGW, and looking to build a D&RGW empire. I'd like to take it to the narrow gauge stuff that is offered for Cumbress and Toltec type cars, but, haven't started that yet.

I'm toying with the idea of selling my drivetrain. I really want to link my rear suspension, but my drivetrain is too long to make anything worthwhile :/

If you are interested in a complete, running drivetrain, here ya go, or if there is enough interest in separate pieces, I may part out.

The tobacco tin must have been tossed by a passenger - tobacco and tossing litter wouldn't be cool on a modern train, I can only wonder about this. It is still out there under the tree by the road if you want to see it.

Almost finished with a new cluster install on the STPCHLD. Dakota Digital setup. I have to say, it's the best looking aftermarket cluster I've ever seen for the FJ40s. Really like that you keep the bezel from the truck. I have a couple of other items to hook up so I haven't tried it out yet. Time has run out while we take a seasonal trip to visit or oldest in Seattle.
