Just one place here in New Mexico, makes it easier that way. I did give up a 28' X 32" garage with bathroom, epoxy coated floor, 100 amp panel, 18' X 8' garage door, and 80-gallon two-stage compressor - on a 3/4 acre lot 25 minutes from Las Vegas on US 95 (future I-11).

Pulled off the pile of miscellaneous junk that had accumulated on the cummins cruiser I've neglected for too long. Reworked the motor mounts as I did not like the 1st draft fluid filled mounts. Farm strong engine side mounts to flipped over scab mount on the frame side. Needs trimmed and finished. Reworked the firewall column mount to gain clearance on the driver side.
Lovin' the time change. An extra hour after work is a totally new game. Plus, it is the last full day of winter. We had a good snow Tuesday, so the mountains are kinda out of my range. Still, I headed out of town while the sun was still up. Got stuck behind a short caravan on the main washboard road. I ducked the 40 into the sticks, but not knowing if I could make the full loop. So I parked it on the edge of a steep drop into the arroyo, that I had only contemplated before, and walked it. I knew I could make it if I kept speed, but the trail was all over the place. I found my old tire tracks from the weekend before at the other end of the arroyo, and I knew it was not good on the other side, but doable - at least from the direction I was heading, just don't loose speed until the dune-like surface turns to packed soil in about a quarter mile, and then again for a second arroyo crossing. Not a wise choice with going to work in the morning, but whatever, I've done way more foolish stuff in my previous 40.

I know about making life easier. My problem the preferred home is too remote. Garage doesn't have a bathroom or 8'X18' door but it is 34'X34' with epoxy floor. Sits on two acres at cool 7,000'. So for now just dealing with two homes.

Took my FJ40 out for a drive to celebrate first day of spring and the end of winter.
Also, watching this BaT auction. This 1970 40 is now bid to $68k. It’s wonderful to see quality restoration work not only getting fair bids but that they hold value. The truck was restored in 2013.

I did some figuring , like deep thought stuff over a few cold ones , and i concluded i could indeed RE-WIND TIME , like a old cassette player that my boy & Fellow SUPPORTING VENDOR RUSS @Engineer8000 is now doing and serving the vintage Land Cruiser community in style and well class .......... 
i think i might just have gave some folks the chance to indeed try " @Living in the Past " in my own unique and special way
and a way i can and a way that says H#LL YEA ! at the same time ...........
i now have a Japan parts buyer , and have for some time ..............
here is my latest efforts to Turn Back the Clock to a time we all wish were at that exact moment , im 46 , and still rememeber handing these over the parts counter as a teenager after school working at Brown TOYOTA City , in Glen Burnie Maryland ....
i also did my best to make my efforts available and in reach to land cruisers owner operators of all walks of life too , that's the hard part sometimes , but the Re-Wound time era parts will tell as you se below .............
and full disclosure : 100% OEM MADE IN JAPAN J.I.S. ........

After at least 14 years, she fired up. She’s a 4/71 build, the goal was to have her fire up before she turned 50. I’ve been slowly going through the fuel and cooling systems to get things situated. New fuel tank, lines, fuel pump, upper thermostat housing, radiator hoses, water pump. It’s very satisfying to have done the work myself. Thanks to the mud community for the knowledge and inspiration. I have a lot of work to do now.

More Sniper kit install from @FJ60Cam and copying @wngrog texas red and mustard 78 threads. New battery and cables from @Forerunner. New gas tank will be here Tuesday and hope to fire her up next weekend. Even refurbed the original washer delete on the hood. It’s the little things

It was suggested by a few mud members to help extend the life of the pump and gearbox. I bought it from summit racing part# der-13249. I got my PS kit from @orangefj45 .More info please. By the way...Frick'n OUTSTANDING workmanship.
