I've wished for some extra hands to help with the build. This morning a little friend arrived to help.

Added some 16” wheels and changed the tires from 31 10.50 15 to 235 85 16, made a difference!

Rubber OD, better steering, Much better at low speeds!

My thermostat bypass hose sprung a leak on the way home the other day. It looked fine from above but had deformed badly behind the alternator. Decided to replace it all as everything is at least 10 years old. Don't tempt fate like me, replace that old rubber. 👍

I had previously cleaned and lubed an odometer when it got jammed up. The plastic shaft that interfaces with the metal shaft, with a worm gear, was a bit stripped. I had installed a working-at-the-time odometer. This week it odometer wouldn't advance the 4th digit, jammed up because The fourth number wheel was gunked up on the little shaft they spin on.

So I had to do some surgery for what has to be the fourth time on 3 different odometers! Disassembled, cleaned, lubed and reassembled. Works now. It's kinda fun but I don't want to do this again for a while.

I have a nasty habit of wearing a hole in my steering wheel covers, at about the 10:00 to 11:00 position. 'Cause that's where the heel of my left hand rubs, and I guess I steer mostly with my left hand. I've got two covers on this steering wheel now, holes worn in the same place on both. I should get one of those "Suicide Knobs", but I hear they're illegal...Like that would be the only thing illegal on my Pig.
So I got another steering wheel cover. Used to be you could walk into any old FLAPS and buy one off the counter, in any color. Not anymore. I had to send away for this one. Had to take measurements and everything.
But, I like this one. Nice leather. We'll see how long it lasts.

Finally got a rainy day and my :princess: was game to help hang the PTO gear box.

I cut the head off an M8 bolt to make a stud to put in the bottom hole to keep the position while she threaded in the top bolt. Saved my arms from the inevitable mis-alignment and shouting when the bolt won't thread into a hole and the gasket starts to slip out of place.

It worked too well. She then wondered (aloud) why it took so long to do such a simple task. :bang:
