Complete wiring re-do, installed autometer gauges, new dash pad cover, adjusted front fenders, installed hood, sprayed the tub and roof with bedliner, I think thats it for this week.
I purchased a 74' FJ40 that was partially put back together. At the bottom of the apron, where the kick out vent is , there is a 1/2" offset where the fender attaches to the apron. What fills this gap? Thanks

If you are referring to the gap circled, it’s meant to be that way. It allows the body to flex when the vehicle gets twisted up on the rocks. The hood will at times be 1/2” or more to either side from the body below.

Rubber hood side panel cushion shim, Toyota Part Number 53359-90301, retail $5.83 each.

I know you have a restored truck, but, just get the 'rock shields' from Cool Cruisers of Texas. They are way more sensible than rust.
Thanks for suggestion. I will go with your recommendation as everything rusts so quickly here by the coast.

They should work wonders on some of those small streams that you fish.
It's amazing how small some of the streams are in northern New Mexico that support the Rio Grande cutthroat trout. While out hiking and backpacking over the years I've seen trout in streams much less than a foot wide. Here's a typical canyon in the mountains not far from town (~13 miles from my house as the crow flies) that has one of those small streams.

I know of a certain group of lakes in Southern Colorado that has some small creeks flowing into them that have LARGE trout in them, the kind of creeks that you can just step over with an exaggerated step.

Sangre de Cristo range.
