Did an Oil Change, new spark plugs,valve adjustment and 2F valve cover install

Once my rig is out of the shop, I am going to do the electrical work myself regarding headlights, brake lights, back up lights and turn signals--most likely bad grounds. I have been reviewing the electrical schematics; looks relatively basic by my eyes. BTW, I just realized that I should have started a separate "build" sort of thread instead of inundating this thread with my build; my apologies if this is not appropriate. Martin

Older Than Most
Just finished up the hose installation for the new heater. The plastics company I contacted made two gray PVC "doughnuts" to adapt the smaller diameter outlet to the larger diameter stock defroster hose. They fit to a "T"! The owner of the company told me the solvents in the glue would react with both the PVC and ABS and would make a strong bond. I have to take his word for it. I scratched both mating surfaces, cleaned both and applied an ample amount of glue to both surfaces and held the "doughnut" on for a few seconds. Felt solid enough but I waited for a while to let the glue harden completely. Then attached the hoses which fit snugly.
@kbahus You asked for a photo from the side so here it is. I took the 40 out yesterday for the first time with the new rear springs and it rode about like I expected, a little harsher but not nearly the body lean I had prior with the stock springs in the rear. I can live with the ride and I am considering not having the front springs installed since it looks level, I put a long level on it and it was just about perfect.

@Martyt Thank you! The hot rod shop that did all the paint and body called it hot rod black which is just another way of saying semi-gloss black. Funny thing, the hood came out flat from the same paint batch. Don't know why but when they offered to repaint it I declined, I liked the contrast.

Annual springtime oil change, filter change and lube. Only put 5200 miles on it in the three years I have had the GPS speedometer installed so I guess I never wear the oil out. Didn't put all of that in but have enough to use when it is time to top off the oil.
Deep into carb rebuild. Probably in over my head a bit, but learning as I go.
Yeah, for sure. Excited to get this whole thing cleaned up, rebuilt, tuned, and get my 40 back on the road!
