Worked on removing these old fender flares that never fit right and I never liked. It was pretty easy and then after the fact I realized I should have just gone in and done the rear brakes while I already had the tire removed...:meh: oh well. It'll give me something to do later.

nice Job!

Adjusted the steering box. Set the toe in a bit more. She was wondering a little. Going to test her out later today. Someone please buy her. :)

I'm not sure what piece you are referring to? Is it the one that penetrates the firewall on the kick board? I don't have that on mine.

Yes sir, I'll post a better picture in little while. Looks like there should be a plate there to block it off. It's about the same size as the one the duct that goes to heater covers.

Just picked the 40 up from the hot rod shop. I believe they did a splendid job on the top. One error, entirely my fault. I forgot to skim coat the fiberglass with bondo and there are some small pin holes showing. Im believe they will be easy enough to repair in the summer.

Here is a brief look at the condition of the sides. There was a lot of rust. The window gaskets had hardened over the years and allowed water to get in so the usual rust and cancer was evident on the bottom lip. The header was also a basket case so a newer one had to be sourced. (Thanks Mark) All the rusty areas were cut out and new metal added then when they started painting they sprayed POR 15 in those places where the rust was likely. Here are a few photos of what I brought home.

The doors are wrapped in blankets and stowed in the back. They also fixed the "oil can" wavyness and sprayed them when the top was sprayed. Tomorrow I start to reassemble the doors and hopefully by this time next week I will have a fully enclosed 40.

Thank you!
