What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week? (36 Viewers)

Felt like the truck was running cool too often, so I decided to check the thermostat last week - everything looked fine but as I began to tighten the bolts on the upper thermostat housing, one felt like it wasn't biting correctly, so I decided to replace all of it:

Also upgraded the 55/60w bulbs that came in my Roundeyes to 90/130w Hellas, so naturally I decided to upgrade the headlight wiring:

The output now is incredible!
Hey @crimsonaudio where'd you get the thermostat housing? Kyle in ATL said the lowers are NLA just last week.

Where in west TN are you? My fam is in Huntingdon, Union City, Jackson, Memphis and Paris.

Check with @Racer65 for the housings. I purchased a set from him and they were perfect. Don't know if he still has any.

Help! I just received a rebuild kit for my door stoppers on the FJ40. I installed the parts on the driver's door and it works great (although the pins provided did not seem nearly long enough, so I used a bolt and nut instead).
After doing the driver's door, I moved over to the passenger side and was met with an empty hole!
Does anyone have the door stop hardware (body side)? I have the moon shaped part and pins etc, just need the body side part.

Didn't actually do it with mine, but went for a drive up to Sisters/Bend yesterday and spotted this fine example in one of the small towns I passed through. Amazing how one gets to be able to spot one even from just a small piece seen out of the corner of one's eye. The old brain just shouts it out before you even realise what is going on.

Whoever this belongs to... Nice truck, it put a grin on my face.

Not much this week - finally mounted the Con-Ferr grab bar so my passengers have something to hold on to while off-roading:

Also scored some sweet Con-Ferr stickers:

Installed CityRacer LED headlights with my 6 year old. She loves working on the cruiser, and this was both easy and immediately gratifying! Here it is half way done. guess which is the new one:

Still need to sort out the high-beams with the aftermarket harness, but since I only drive it city and rarely at night, this will probably do for now.
