All dogs go to heaven.
Lost our Shepard last week also had to put down. To all those who have lost mates & companions I like to think of the good times had, places they have been with us & memories they leave us. Cheers

the guy who bought my 2F liked how I've built mine enough that he's getting me to drop the 2F into his 45 and possibly do some other mod's, ps and disc brakes and maybe a bit more.
Here is a proper pic
It's a nice 45, fully hunting kitted for here in Zimbabwe.
But its 2F is toast. Was parked in my garage for less than an hour and there's already oil everywhere.

nice, but i'm glad i'm not cleaning it. too nice a rig to have unwashed for long.
Haha- the underside gets cleaned out more than the top! I steam clean the seams etc and spray them with oil once or twice a year.

Couldn't stand it, capped the edge where the support channel and mid bed meet.
Not done yet, but better. Re measured mounting points (about 10 times) 31 3/8" from the center of bolt hole in mount on top of frame to center of bolt hole in bumper where sill bolts up. That lands me damn near in the center of that tack 5" or so from this side. I'm within 1/8" either way front to rear, side to side. Got plenty room for the mount to clear the back edge of the mid and rear bed junction. This is an old pic but it shows what I'm talking about.

Drove mine with my 7yr. old to soccer practice after the following work over the last two month......
Total Q-jet overhaul with new intake
New rotor, cap, plug, wires, and R&M wire loom kit
Fresh fluids all the way around
Replaced o-ring at transfer idler shaft (now leaking worse)
Best of all, replaced lap belts with three point seat belts for the safety of my my 7yr old

I just bought a new Tacoma. So what I have done to my '82 is gave him a rest from DD duty and found him a comfy spot in the garage.
