Had some super help today, my uncle was able to come give me hand with the sill. Didn't get it welded up, had to cut the corners back out and move them forward. Sealing lip on the corners and sill were not matching up. View attachment 1416901Its where it needs to be now thanks to @thebigredrocker and the measurements he provided, along with @40Wanted.View attachment 1416906 I know its ugly now but it will clean up.

You're making great progress, Nolen!!

Looking good!!

finally got my aftermarket gauges in and working...

this is a diesel tach driven by the AC signal from the stator of the alternator. took a bit of calibrating, as the manual was way off, but got it dialed in in the end

this pic shows at the top my 2 new digital gauges. one for vacuum across manifold and the other is a seperate temp gauge that responds alot faster than my mechanical one. also put in the voltmeter/usb charging/cig lighter socket combo in the hole that was made by not having an ash tray.

did my best to use all the existing hole in my dash but a few i was unable to use and hence cover. oh well. still no idea why there are so many holes all over the show.

Looking good Nolan.
Do you use copper to prevent warping or just slow welding?

Thanks @pngunme and @waiting for time , for the words of encouragement. @waiting for time I'm just taking my time, some of the places where the metal is super thin (like the section of wheel well I replaced on the d/s) its really hard not to have any warping. I would've just replaced the whole section, but I wanted to keep the corragated piece. If I had it to do over again I'd bought the inner wheel wells. So glad @rkymtnflyfisher sent me those pieces other wise I would have had to do a lot of creative bondo work.

Got the lower back support tube mocked up in prep for the stamped panel I have coming from Kevin.:D

I also quick cut some cardboard up for the skins so I could see how it's gonna look. I have 12" from bottom of frame to top of axle and I cut 9" from skin bottom to top of tire...I'm thinking I may cut it rectangular like the OEM 40 opening but longer obviously.

Thanks! Never cut, notched and bent tube before so it takes me forever... those back two lower pieces took me 4 hours to cut/bend/notch/ sleeve and fit ugh...

Hell don't feel bad man, those patches on the inner fenders took well over a hr. each to fit.

Got the sill tacked in, only after cutting the corner channels back out! The contour of the quarters dictated where it had to go, had to move them forward almost a 1/4". Gawd I hope it lines up on the chassis.

Floor will be tom. if all goes right, don't hold your breath! lol

Re-wired the dash light and removed and re-installed the NP203 side cover due to a leak... Hoping to swap out the alternator this weekend when I'm not priming my buddies IH Scout.
