Still need to put the channel in yet so that hide some of it from the bottom. BTW DON"T CUT NOTHING TILL YOU ARE SURE!

Got a couple hours in on the 40 today. Got the 60 gear box spaced out to clear the belt and got it mounted. Also got the fender trimmed to clear the box. I was surprised at how well the 60 gearbox fits on a 40.

Just about finished the welding on my flatdeck, just a few pins to go before Galv.

Fitted my 33s to some 15x10s white spokes I got my hands on, looks good with the white and the original colour, so will stick with that when I get it resprayed.

Spent some time this afternoon and got the 3FE mostly stripped down and all the parts and pieces bagged. Plan to finish up the rest tomorrow and do some scrubbing on it. It will be great to get the last pile of major grease out of the garage.

Question, for those who have done this conversion on a 40: I'm ditching all the smog equipment on the 3FE. What are people doing with the smog pump bracket? It's under two head bolts and is the attachment point for the front hoist hook. Should I remove it, leave it, cut it down so it isn't in the way?

Leave it and use it for onboard air.

My seat belts came back from the upholstery shop for re-webbing. I had the shop remove the original tags and see them into the new webbing. After installing them I completed the installation of my axle locking cables which enabled me to install the drivers seat.

I added a fuel pressure gauge and some toggle switch labels

The bad news... Gunner is gone... I had him euthanized this afternoon.

He's been going downhill quickly... He still looked good three days ago... But, was rapidly growing wider and wider.

This morning, he seemed the same... He ate well and was somewhat active. Then, he started fading, so I fed him an orange Dreamsicle

And Chester and I took him for his last drive out to the DNWR... When we stopped to stretch our legs, Gunner got out and laid right down. I got him back onboard and drove home, swapped him to the Tundra and left Chester at home.

Gunner and I went right to the vet and she agreed that his organs were shutting down... This is my last picture of my old best friend.

Chester is very depressed... He seems to understand... Dianna is at her sister's house, on the other side of Vegas... She's upset as well... We'll get over it... But, not today.

@tstepp920 I had a local upholstery shop handle stitching after I ordered the webbing from Seat belt Planet. BTW you can send your seatbelts to Seat belt Planet and they will do it for you.

Agreed; not today.

Sorry for your loss @pngunme. I had to put down my 10 year old GSP last year and still miss that damn dog.

Always love going through pictures and remember all the good car rides we had.
