Don't throw the old manifold away. Others may want to buy it including myself...Picked up the intake from PTSView attachment 1366655
He was going to bead blast it but I didn't give him time, mating surfaces to head where within .0035. The intake on top is one I bought, best I can tell by the part number it fits 81-87 from what I've read on here. It's real close to the one that came on it originally in 75 which was 17111-61010 there again from what I've read. The intake on the bottom was on the truck when I got it. So naturally (me being ignorent in all things Land Cruiser and spelling) thought it was the original 75 intake......WRONG! Lesson 100 something. So if you want to put a Man A Fre header on your truck you need one like the one on TOP. View attachment 1366657 Got the intake cleaned up and mounted along with the header, made a gasket for the home made block off. I'll probably weld a fitting in it, before its all said and done. Following up on my rear side window gasket install - shocked at how easy this is. Hardest part of the job was getting the old one out. Install gasket on glass, insert 3/16" cord inside slot on back of gasket, lube it up (I used windex since it evaporates quickly), hold glass in place with a little pressure, and slowly pull cord out. Gasket seats around sheet metal. I used a plastic bike tire iron to lift the front lip of the gasket so it laid flat. Clean window. That's it! Easy peasy! Perfect fit and looks just like oem! @Racer65 shoikd have these in his store in the near future! Next will be the rear hatch. Still need to deal with the rust first.

It's too bad you need to go to a more restrictive intake to fit headers.Picked up the intake from PTSView attachment 1366655

Oh no @White Stripe , I don't throw hardly anything away and surely not that intake. But it might be had. I know a lot of folks go with that for the added flow, it also had a old header that had been repaired many times and a good Holley carb. As wore out as the engine was it did pretty good. But I didn't drive but just a few miles around the house here after getting it running, as I knew some thing wasn't right with it. I'm going back with the like stock Troll Hole carb and stock air breather. I didn't want the stock exhaust manifold and all the heat under the carb that comes with it. I gotta a pile from my uncles 60 still in the corner of the shop that I went through and got another started with this one.

Looks nice! How'd u make the carb top? Finally finished up the engine compartment. I've been about 2 years of working on it off and on. Completely new plumbing and electrical as well. Definitely not stock anymore but still a good ol' F145 with a few enhancements. I'm really happy with how well it came out.
