Any name brand on them vice mounted, metle working tools?

thats the plan. thankfully theres no ware or damage to the cylinder walls and piston tops. and like my father said, at least its come out now during the install rather than 1000kms from home in the bush. it just means once she is running i will be able to fully trust this engine

Would think you should be able to purchase from a local sheet metal retailer.
They sure did a Nike job, and much easier than how I made the same patch pieces with a ball peene hammer, vice, and an anvil.
Panels off and headed to the blaster. No turning my back now.

I would rebuild that completely to make sure no oil journals are clogged. That looks pretty bad.found what was wrong with my new to me 12HT

Finished and painted
Put hardtop on, ready for winter.
the thought of starting that process is intimidating.
How I spent the thanksgiving weekend... I revisited the the 72 ranch cruiser and the green 74 (with earlier body) and prepped the 74 for the trailer ride back to the hill country. The 72 fire right up after a shot of starting fluid. Some of you may remember several months ago when I drug the 74 out of the field that my brother parked it in over 10 years ago...
