I ordered Spectra tank from AutopartsWay through Amazon. There were sellers in Amazon that had better price for it, but they didnt offer international shipping.

Very good. Keep us posted on how the install goes. It's nice to have tech input from the other side of the pond.

It´s really great to be part of this awesome forum and will be very happy if some of my post is any help or entertainment to any one of you guys!

A busy week this week. It's amazing what some rain will do. Better than watching our wonderful group of presidential candidates lie to us during the debates!!!

Today I pulled off my girl's gauge cluster (getting a little personal here), replaced the bulbs and fixed my odometer.

Thanks of course to the help from the wonderful folks here on MUD!!

Refurbished my front and rear heaters. After installation, noticed that the rear heater valve leaks when fully open (it doesn't leak at all when closed). :bang: It didn't do this when I took it out, and I didn't notice it when I pressure tested it. I had to solder the hard pipes to the core, so I guess I messed up the valve during that process.

I also put my new to me dash pad light in the dash pad.

Oooooo. I like that. Any more pictures of the dash pad light?

Started prepping 44 for an extended trip... This will be Chester's first trip with me in 44... Gunner's staying home this time... Dianna wants Gunner with her.

Anyway, I removed the passenger seat back and laid my bed (5" foam on top of a ThermaRest Basecamp sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow and extra blankets). Tent, cot and chair are stored above, in the cargo netting. We overnight in 44 and pitch a tent for multiple days. I'm anxious to go!! Already topped off the tanks, changed all the fluids, greased everything, spares and tools are all loaded... Chester's bed will go in the back before we leave.

Danny, that great news! At last you're ready for an outing, the 44 looks nice and comfy, I also see additional nets in the rear. It looks like it will be a fun trip with Chester, and I look forward to your adventure pics!

Do you mind if I tag along?

Danny @pngunme where are you headed? I leave Wednesday for a week in Death Valley. Should be in Saline Valley before sunset Thursday. You're welcome to stop in. I'll be the guy with the old blue FJ45.

Gee thanks Danny!
Isn't your roof rack always empty?:hillbilly:

I'll do it, I've always wanted to be rapped up in burlap and transported through the desert on a roof rack!

BTW I'll be bringing some friends along for the ride, if you don't mind.

Thanks Mark... But, my Wife and I are taking the Tundra and Casita travel trailer and daBoise up to Echo Canyon, then Cave Lake, then Ruby Valley (all NV), for a couple of weeks. When we come back, I'll get a release from my eye Surgeon and then Dianna will let me go out with just Chester.

I'm not sure yet where Chester and I will go... Gotta see the weather first... I'd like to go up to WY, but it's probably too early in the year... We'll see...

Maybe next time!!

It's empty, except when I'm hauling hitchhikers Mike!!

I have a net I can spread over you... You may bounce around, but you won't fly off...

You may think so... But, that's my can opener... In case I have to cut my way out... :hillbilly:

It also serves as a toothpick, after a great BBQ meal!!
