Wheeling it hard or wheeling it foolishly, I'm not sure which :)

That's the kind of skinny pedal application someone would take if someone really wanted a front ARB and new gears!!!

It was more frustration than anything else. You learn quickly how helpful ATRAC is when you dont have it... I omitted 5-10 minutes of spinning/backing up/starting again, etc etc. Not a proud day for the Hundy.

Changed the power steering fluid, and had to redo the front brakes. I had them done a couple months ago, but was still making lots of screeching. I ordered a new set of pins, shims, clips to redo it all. Sure enough, the problem was that the shims were not there, nor the retaining clips. All better now.

Gave it more a/c gas. Hopefully its not a leak!

It is a sealed system. If you had to add Freon, you have a leak somewhere. It may be a small leak.

Well, I got rid of my Cummins powered 80 series and bought this a couple of weeks ago. It's a 1999 that was babied by the PO. Anyway, I installed some rear OME 866 springs I got off of craigslist for $40 and cranked up the stock t-bars. I'm not going to go nuts on this one (unlike my old 2000 100 series), but it will get a front bumper and some 275/70r18 AT type tires.

Here she is towing my OM617 powered FJ55.

I pulled out the Airlift 1000 system and plumbing.

Put the OEM coil retainer cones back in.

Swapped the 860 rear coils for 863 heavies.

Pulled the rear OME shocks and sway bar and coated all the bushings with Energy Suspension Lubricant to stop the squeaking.

Performed a 5 wheel tire rotation.

Installed SHAGGY101's 10mm front wheel spacers.

And finally installed the drawers I've been building for months. My wife was so happy to get them out of the living room and garage that she demanded I pose for a picture with them.

863 Stink Bugging. Actually not bad. The tire comes about an inch above the rear frame. SPC front UCA and torsion bar tweaking are next.

3/4" Monstaliner coated plywood, 36" full extension 250lb TCH drawer slides, recessed stainless steel T-nuts galore, Joints are all glued and Kreg Jointed, Lockable Aegis handles, Logic tie down tracks recessed into the 1" thick top. And of course a PBR in public to finish things off.

I still need to cut and mount the trim panels, install the hold open ball catches, and install my 2.0 fridge slide design.

The wife's social media picture. Free Pedigree shirts from my old agency = the go to wrenching-wear.

Those look great! Nice work Klaus, but I always assumed you were a German Shepherd... o_O

Plot twist: he actually is a German Shepherd, that's his pet in the picture.

Recently cleaned out the interior and gave the outside a nice wash-down only to have some birds sh*t on the hood the next day. Also still need to make some kind of permanent mount for the ProFender reservoirs, the lines were a little shorter than expected...

I dropped my 100 off today to get the front and rear 3rd members with 4.88's and TJM lockers installed, so I can break them in properly in time for Cruise Moab. Also doing the brakes and installing a new OEM radiator. I can't wait to get my power back from the re-gear.

That's some twilight zone s*** right there... MIND. BLOWN.

In 100 series news, it's been raining balls over here so I stuck a towel in the back to help with my leaking top brake light. I have a sad cruiser at the moment :(

Oh the allure of the 100 :D Welcome back to the dark side Dave.

Is still miss it. My wife, not so much.

Not quite sure you should let her read that. She might not understand, wife vs. rig thing.

Anyway, nice to see you found a replacement for "Penny". Thought she was one of the best built 100 series rigs on Mud.

Installed a tow bar stowmaster 5000 so I can drag the 100 behind our tour coach.
