Backed into a Mazda 3. Stoopid avoidable mistakes really grind my gears...

@davegonz Is there a build thread for this fabled 100-series people speak of?

The sombreros have 4 little nubs that glue them into the center cap. You need to grind off those nubs, accessible from the backside, then reglue them into place once you paint them.

Big day yesterday, got the ARB compressor mounted, wired up my Hella driving lights, sprayed my rear cargo drawer system with a clear poly and installed a super fancy support for my iPad mount.

Looking good! You're really building that thing in a hurry. Is this the one you had @SanDiegoCruiser check out for you?

Yep, that's the one. San Diego all its life until last October. Started the mods on the way back (Slee lift and BIOR rear bumper) and haven't stopped. We got a trip to VT in right after I bought it, and a few weekend trips to the PA State forests. Spring break we've got a camping tour of the northeast planned (Catskills, NY, VT, NH and Cape Cod) and this summer hopefully 100s in the Hills. And a few other smaller trips in between.

Incidentally, I just ordered another $40-50 worth of stuff to complete the electrical upgrades! Fancy fuses for the Bluesea Safetyhub100, the mil-spec terminal covers and some various sized ring terminals.

Nice!

I just put my compressor in a few weeks back in prep for the Air Lockers and re-gear being installed this week.

I opted for a behind the fog-light mounting location as under-hood is all full due to the AHC, 2nd G31 battery and Ukrainian spec cyclonic air cleaner. (Allowing me to run the second battery in the factory location behind the passengers side headlights.)

Today I replaced my seat belt rivet (free thanks to @beno), it was driving me crazy not being able to find the buckle easily! I'm convinced :princess: slammed it in the door while I was in AZ a few weeks go but she won't admit to it... Or it could have just un-riveted itself and left for a better life I guess.

Also courtesy of Onur I now have a fancy phone holder where my AHC blank used to be!

Today I had my front door windows re-tinted. The tint that was on there didn't match the rear and had a lot of markings and tiny holes in it. Apparently, the previous owner had the habit of letting go of the seatbelt when unbuckling. Really annoying.
I think the tint is a perfect match.
They also had the LX Krowned (undercoating). The shop provides both services. It was a misunderstanding, because I told them it wasn't necessary, I had that done in December. Ah well, it's not going to hurt.

Finished building my mounting system and skid plates for my on board hot water system. 11 gallon tank fits nicely after some slight mods to the underside of where the tire mounts. Welding up a bracket for the pump, which will be shielded from the exhaust and located above it.
