Decided to install my rear extended sway bar links from Trail Tailor, since I had a relatively open afternoon after work today.

Got my AHC pressures dialed in, 7mpa front, 6.5mpa rear, rides like a cadillac now but without the piece of crap GM reliability. Also mounted my axe and giant poop shovel.

I think this is most excited I have ever been for someone else's adventure. Jealous, but excited to see this build put to work on your trip! Great job!

Also, please share some pointers about which routes to take. things to see and stuff to do. Some of us will be living vicariously through your posts

Tested the KO2s on Schnebly Hill Trail. Very rocky. They were awesome! Engine was getting hot, but cooled off after a little break and stayed cool keeping it in low range, plus it was 93 today in Sedona. 4 hours and 11 miles out and back.

Did you get a chance to check out broken arrow while you were there? That is a super fun (albeit short) trail. Top 10 i've ever done.

We’re going to try it early tomorrow morning.

Awesome, I hope you enjoy it! If you guys mountain bike at all, that's also an awesome trailhead to ride from.
There are a lot of bonus lines to play around on, the traction on the sandstone is pretty incredible.
here's some shots from our last run:

How did you get your pressures dialed in? I got AHC fluid changed and this was next on my list.

You'll need Techstream or a high end car scanner that can read the AHC pressures. Get base measurements and then go from there, my base readings were 9mpa front, 8.5 MPA rear. I tightened my torsion bars up front about 9 turns each, this stiffen up the load and relieve some pressure on the system and that dropped it down to 7. In the rear i added 30mm coil spacers to the spring and that dropped the pressure down a little bit as well. After a week pressure is now 7 front and 7 rear. You don't want your pressure too high, that might risk blowing out the globes as they are taking a lot of the dampening.

Replaced the passenger side inner and outer wheel bearings. Took it for a ride around the neighborhood and no more squeaking noises. Went to re-torque the lug nuts and could not find the locknut. I guess I left it on as I went for a test ride. Went the exact route I did for the test ride and found it laying in the middle of the road a mile away..lol

Got the guts up to tackle timing belt and assorted bits. The TB job wasn't needed, but I had to change the crank seal (oil was leaking out the drain and the tensioner) so why not just do it all. The drive belt was cracked, pretty badly. Wow, is is quiet now in the engine bay. Glued a broken bracket on the fan shroud, seem like an excellent bond. Used a universal pulley holder to break loose the crank bolt. A few things were stuck on pretty good, but eventually got it all working proper. The A/C compressor was a chore, didn't loosen the rear bolt, the metal bracket was pre-bent for me :) .

Aisin Timing Belt kit with belt, tensioner, water pump, both idlers.
Aisin fan bracket
Drive belt, idler pulley, tensioner pulley
Upper and lower radiator hoses, with radiator cap
Bypass hose to the throttle body, and bypass hose on oil cooler line
Both cam seals and crank seal
Cleaned the throttle body
Toyota coolant

Got my second battery and Redarc charger and circuit breakers all wired up. Works great!
The Redarc charger is super impressive—monitors both primary battery and second battery voltage and intelligently charges the auxiliary battery to properly top it off and maintain it. Light years ahead of some other systems that are just a relay—I gather those are ok for a second starting battery or a hybrid but not so great for a true deep cycle. Or at least that’s what my electrical genius friend told me and I pretty much just do what he says....
