Well... I didn't do it, but I had my timing belt, water pump, seals, guides, etc. done.
Good to go for another 90,000. That should get me to 350,000.

Next up, fuel filter, roof rack removal, new leather seating, steering wheel restoration, door panel replacement and after that, we'll see....

I'm in NC also. Where did you get the TB stuff done at and how much was it all if you don't mind saying. I need mine done in the next 10k miles.

Got lbjs, front brakes, transmission pan gasket, and stereo system done this weekend. Getting new wiper blades, a new window regulator, and windshield wiper washer fluid nozzle tomorrow

Installed my new hood and hatch struts, nearly took my face out the first time I opened the hatch! Easy peasy 15 minute job and no more helping the hood or hatch up.

Not very technical. I replaced the velcro on the rear seat straps. Used industrial strength velcro with sticky back. One of them is pealing off a bit, but i bought some cloth glue for that.

Pulled both CV axles off, rebuilt/rebooted this past weekend. That was a learning experience. It all turned out well though.

Cured a squeaking serpentine tensioner pulley today. Removed the pulley, removed the bearing, replaced the bearing-re-installed pulley and no more squeaky.

For now I'm currently squeak and leak free.

Installed SPC upper control arms and finally cut down AHC linkage for a little more lift. Now to find a good alignment shop...

Replace my timing belt which broke on me. (Car was doing 30mph. No interference internally) (65k on the old belt. Had a shop do that one) Did this one along with all the seals water pump new thermostats . Oil change and radiator flush as well change out some vacuum hoses that were looking brittle at the time.

Did wiper blades a couple days before. And three months ago installed 285/75/16 Kenda klevar MT

Was it an OEM belt that broke?

Nice job!

65K miles is unusual to hear of Timing belt break without something else... Like was it over 7 years, coolant / oil leak, bad pulley or mickey mouse ,,,,,....something?

Nice too hear it didn't do damage to engine. We've seen cases of HWY acceleration to pass T-belt break reports, without interference in the non VVTi 4.7.

changed the timing belt, serp belt, water pump, coolant, front seal, idler pulley, and tensioner pulley on the 05. and repaired a leaky third brake light on it.
hope to flush the AHC system over the weekend... the wife has other plans to finish remodeling the bathroom at the house. sounds like I wont be flushing the AHC.

Put some new tires on the 2000 (295/75/16 BFG) and took it up to the wood yard last night for beers with some friends.

Also cut all the metal for my sliders but ive been too busy to get them welded. maybe one night soon.
