Threw this bad boy on today. It's nicer than I expected and cheaper than having the original wheel re-leathered...

What's the source on that wheel? Thanks

How was the ride, did you test it yet?
Much better than before. I do believe the poly bushings tighten up the rear a bit and that was just what I was looking for. I am not the 1st owner of this truck, but there is a significant difference in handling over the faded and cracked original bushings. The sway will never go away because these are such top-heavy trucks (especially with a heavy roof rack like I have) but this setup definitely limits it to a comfortable level like it should be.

Cleaned power steering reservoir and flushed system and replaced fluid with full synthetic automatic transmission fluid. I raised the truck put it on jacks and turned the wheel from lock to lock. I first turned it left, then went and filled reservoir again, then turned it right, and went and filled reservoir again. I saw that the fluid was Clear i closed it all up. Turns really smooth now, i will do another flush in a couple of days. I can still hear a faint whine when turning i think its just going to be a little whine no matter what. I read somewhere someone changed the power steering pump and they could still hear a whine. After spraying the reservoir withe the cleaners i ran the water hose with a spray nozzle on it too rinse it out as much as possible.

I soak in degreaser overnight, used hot soapy water, high pressure water & air. Still found I needed bent tooth brush to scrub screen in reservoir clean. I use M1 full syn MV ATF and whine is gone.

Yes thanks for your tips, i used the brake cleaner and i did not have to use a tooth brush, the screen came out exceptionally clean. I could not find M1 locally here in houston so i went with valvoline. It turns really smooth and i can hear a little whine, i think when i flush it again in a few days after this first round of synthetic cleans it all up in there it will have no whine. Well i will post up after my second flush. It had power steering fluid in it. Which is probably why it is so smooth to turn now.

Put in new battery and positive battery post connector yesterday. There is a wire attached to the fuse block on this post that seems to be loose and i think it was the cause for the battery seeming to be dead after flushing the power steering this morning. The fuse that the loose wire connects to says Alt. on top. Gonna see about tightening the wire and see if i have an issue with battery afterwards. I will post results.

Update i went out and tightened the positive post and all is good now.

Replaced my heater T's today. They must've been changed by dealership @ TB/WP service which was 30k ago. They look good and now I have two spares (old ones) tucked in the back as a "just in case"

I picked up a craigslist score on the way home from work this morning. 4 Toyo Open Country AT2 275/65r20 with 300 miles on them for $600.

This deal couldn't have come at a better time, I got a partial sidewall puncture on one of my KO2 at HIH last weekend.

Continued testing the capabilities of AHC and the vehicle itself. Estimated 750 - 800 lbs of tongue weight with a trailer weight 6500 - 7000lbs. Pulled OK I did have 27 lbs in my rear air bags and if I do it again I will hook up the trailer brakes:grinpimp:

By the sound of my AHC Im sure my AHC pressures were through the roof.
