What hard parts would you like to see available for 80s?

Either really. Especially if your trying to have people prepay and then pay the remainder on delivery of a finish product.

Looks like you are over-complicating things again. A flat plate with a couple holes, maybe some double stick tape and I'm good. I almost knocked it out last weekend but the kids said they wanted to go to the park which seemed like a better use of my time.

we are cruiserheads, overcomplicating is what we do best.....

Nope, I'm not doing prepay anything. I believe in getting what you pay for when you pay for it. Immediate gratification. It also keeps the hundreds of "How about this color?" and "how about adding this?" or "Can it be made cheaper?" or worse "can I find a knock off in China before yours is ready?" emails to a bare minimum.

but is there room for a little pocket to hold the damn iphone/pod so it doesn't smack the ground when I open the door????

I pinged Photoman with a Profile Post (whatever the heck that is) about the requested alternator brackets for the 3FE crowd. Assuming he isn't personally interested in making more of these, perhaps he can share his design with the OP here so he can make a batch for us. Trying to help...

If someone has a design for a cast aluminum alternator or York mount . Have someone make ken out of wood about 10% oversize and I can get good pricing on casting them.
I have some machine capability as well.

As long as we're throwing out wish lists...

1) Brackets to mount something useful to replace third row upper seat belt housing (since so many of us remove the third rows).
2) Storage panels (like the Wagongear 60 series panels) to replace rear side panels.

I don't know what a profile post is either and I don't get notified if someone posts to it so better to PM me.

I worked for about a month or more on making a bracket. The crux of the problem is the new large case alternator would be close to the exhaust manifold and exhaust heat. I did not feel comfortable with how close it would be. It might work or the alternator might have a short life because of the heat. I did come up with a solution that I felt would be OK. The stock alternator is mounted to the top motor mount. The larger alternator will work if a new top motor mount is made. The reason I quit was I felt there would not be very many people willing to jack the motor up and replace the motor mount just to do an alternator upgrade. I did it and it is not a fun job. Second to make this type of mount I would have to buy a large and expensive piece of steel - read commitment. This is only one side or mount of the alternator. An adjustable bracket would have to be made for the other mount. Lastly, if using an alternator like one from a Sequoia, a pulley would have to be made. The Sequoia pulley has a poly vee pulley while the 3fe has a groove pulley. I can't remember now if the stock pulley could be re-machined to work or not. Anyway, the whole thing would be a rather expensive project.
There may be other ways of making something work using a different alternator etc. In 2004 I made a mount for a Delco alternator on the fzj and posted it up. It got one reply because no one wanted to put a non Toyota part on.

Beefier letters for the front grille. Was thinking same size so they would match up with current factory location but thicker with a flat surface instead of so rounded.

Already on it. I'm sending off a piece to a fellow mudder in the morning for test fitment. Here is a very early prototype. Just me, there is a whole lot more to it now. ;)
