SO I Started a Thread a while ago, 4years? anyway got bogged down in life and now I have some money and the LV is Back on its way to being finished.
Here is the game plan again..

1964 LV
- turboed HZ with a H55 trans
-spring over on 60 axles 4.88's and ARB's, FF rear
-Shackle reversal
-33's? on factory wheels with caps
-80 series 2nd and 3rd row
-buckets up front with a Tuffy box
-AC, not sure what to go with..
-power steering
-Bumpers and slider steps
-and some other unknowns at this time..
-last but not least some sweet 1964 license plates, they are white on green

-MBD

Here are a few over all Pictures.

Whats Done:

SOA and Shackle Reversal
Motor and trans located
PS conversion- Still need the reservoir..
axles rebuilt with 4.88's and ARBS

Next order of business:
plumbing the Turbo..
building a fuel tank out back
running fuel, brake and clutch lines
battery tray
AC- I need a pump and the bracket if anyone has one kicking around:)

So cool. Looks like a great project with good choices in the parts area.

4.88's are going to be really low with an HZ, h55 and 33's though.

Keep the progress going, and good luck!

looks like a fun build.

4.88s with a 1HZ? even with a 5-speed... it's going to tach out fast. I'd run 35's at the least.

What turbo are you going to run? this looks like a great deal: https://forum.ih8mud.com/diesel-jdm-parts/593834-axt-manifold-turbo-plumbed-oil-pan-1hz.html

Thanks guys, I agree with the 4.88's right now.. I built the Axles when I was going to put in a 2FE so we'll see what happens when she hits the road. I was thinking 4.10's again with 33's

I picked up the turbo (C26) from Lynch in OR it is new with everything I need for the upgrade.

Gifu, Is your truck Intercooled? what are you running your HZ-T in? I am looking for some intercooling ideas. I have gotten some feed back from Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters, he's running around is a non IC HZ-T right now and says the EGT's are hard to manage..

So I'm thinking Either IC or skip the turbo..

I run a cheapo ebay intercooler on a 1HDFT, and it runs cold. 650F (preturbo) on flat ground at 65mph. I can get it to 900F on a 10-min long uphill at wot. the FT motor flows very nice.

I have a 1HZ with garrett GT2860RS and it will get warm, but it is manageable. It runs about 800F on flat ground at 65, but i can get it to 1200F fast on a hill if I keep my foot in it. I'm running 315's and 4.10's. Also 3" exhaust.
Advancing the timing up 1MM dropped EGTs by about 150F. Increasing boost to 12PSI also helped. But I will be squeezing an intercooler in there soon.

I plan to intercool

good question Gumby, I don't know i bought it from Mikesta a few years ago, i'll have to get the vin next time i am at the shop. I think treeRoot had it listed.

not much happening.. just getting together some parts..
small clutch bit came in
long range tank has been made
drive lines out to be made
clutch disc and pressure plate out to be rebuilt
Still searching for some parts..

PARTS LIST

Any guess on fuel Capacity?:hmm:
