@tlin It's smooth, it's stock-quiet, not stinky, and I'd say it does pull a little harder in the 3200-4500rpm range. It's nice! It is a LOT of work! Maybe engine mounts would've solved the stress issue on the manifolds but for a better solution...

Soooooo, you've had the weekend to drive it - any perceptible power gains with the Short Tubes? 0-60 runs now down in the 5's? KIDDING! Great job getting this done, thanks for redirecting me over here from the other thread. WELL DONE!!!!!

This one is marked as done! 19 days and 25+ hours (give or take). [Hopefully] THIS saga is closed.

Haven't been logged in in a while, any updates? I'd swing by to help out for an afternoon but Utah is a touch outside my "good guy" driving distance....:)

I forgot an item, it's a siphon tube (jiggler pump) to help get gas out of a gas can and into your rig.....never used, still in original packaging. Free to whoever wants it....

FREE: GONE - 8 in total OEM wheel caps - Toyota (4) and Lexus (4): The Lexus ones are from the original wheels on my GX, includes the snap rings to keep them in place, they aren't pristine by any means but they're intact. Toyota ones are from...

If anyone is seeking a CSC-logo Trasharoo, mine is up for sale. Purchased a few years ago, never got around to doing a spare mount on my GX off the rear somewhere so it's just been in our garage up north. Just sold our cabin recently so it's...

Regarding emissions with LT's, you'll need to trick the rear O2 sensors to get it from throwing PO420 and PO430 codes. You can do this with an O2 simulator box (requires hacking into your wiring harness) or a 90 degree defouler with a mini cat...

I’d still do the ST’s again to avoid the ticking sound that is so common. ST’s are a long term fix that work reliably with OBD. Don’t expect a big power bump. ~20 HP on 5,000 lbs of steel tires and flesh is nothing.

The ST details here were eyeopening - much appreciated (what a headache!)....and my fault for the DT topic change as well but hopefully the OP also gets some value out of this extra detail from the DT side of things.

The LTs retain the OEM secondary cats in the midpipe, and only omit the primary cats. So the GX would not be catless. But it is not possible to add cats to the LT headers themselves - they are comprised of multiple tubes that come together just...

I noticed significantly more power on my 2007 with LT headers. Made a very big difference in the "butt dyno". My GX has plenty of power with the LT's and an aFe cold air intake (with the vast majority of the gains coming from the LT headers). Not...

Power wise; barely noticeable with ST’s. Also 03-04 and 05+ have different manifolds and mid pipes.

@Rednexus and @jiggletits: Is it possible to weld OEM cats to the DT LT's? Does anyone know how much performance gain should be expected with the DT ST's? DT headers seems, to me, like the smartest "performance mod" for our engines. thx guys....

My 2003 GX470 (closing on 20 years) did not have cracked exhaust manifolds. I was still running the stock oem ones when I replaced them due to continuous bad integrated cat P0420 and P0430 codes for like a year. So, I don’t buy this notion that...
