NLXTACY where did you get the chocks, and are they any good? They look nice and compact.

Thanks for sharing the photos, they're inspiring me to tackle some bigger projects

It's really as simple as looking at the pics to remove the diff ;)

Make sure to pull the rear drive shafts BEFORE trying to pull the 3rd member, ask me how I know. :)

Anyhow Like NLXTACY said we tried to install the Powertrax no-slip locker in my 97 LX, the tolerance was NOT correct and have to put back OEM everything.

Called Richmond Gear this morning and they said the locker's part number is correct and need to check part numbers for each part. Also they do NOT use thrust washers which I was not comfortable with. Called 4wheel parts store where I bought it from and going to return it tomorrow, John at 4wheel parts in TO is awesome to deal with.

Will be ordering an AUSSIE as soon as I return the Powertrax tomorrow.......word of advise: stay away from powertrax!

drained and refilled the transfer case and rear third.(front had a full service a few weeks ago) greased all the zirks, changed the oil, replaced a bad exaust hanger to get the cats off the sliders and replaced the drivers side front caliper. my new 315 rocker radials come in today so for my trip next week I still have the passenger side caliper to replace along with its brake line. get the tires mounted and swap the evaporator for the a/c then take it for alignment and a/c recharge then ill be ready for a solid week of wheeling

Simple, but heavy!

Could have at least hosed it off a bit, so you didn't drop mud clods into the works? :hillbilly:

The chocks are actually a set I bought after seeing them in a standard Land Rover kit. Found the part number and just ordered them from a Land Rover site. I found out later that Toyota actually makes (made) a version but I have never been able to find the part number and SOR didn't have any. I use mine all the time and when folded up its barely bigger than a deck of cards.

Just ordered a pair, thanks NLXTACY!

I have a set that came with my 03 Range Rover. They are different than those but I like those too. Mine have some teeth to get grip offroad

Put more time and money into it :-). Finished the front end new rotors from Jonesy off-road. oh and just spent another 300$. Never ending but a glorious love

Welded up the rear bumper i started work on last Friday, stopped short of welding on the top plate because I decided to make it a swing out and ordered the comp4x4 mega spindle and latch package. Instead I welded on the 4x Innovations custom length kick out DOM sliders I ordered over a year ago and took the cruiser up a narrow a** wheeling trail meant for jeeps... And dominated! It was really meant for single mule wagons going to the gold mines up there, but a land cruiser is comparable in size right? Lol.

Finally upgraded to 35's with a little setback. We were headed to a family party on Saturday morning and had a blowout on the wife's Scion. I threw on the spare dropped off the family and headed to the tire shop and had some new Falken's installed on the XB (Happy Mothers Day).

Luckily @mattafact had a lead on some used 315's mounted on some pink panty wheels. We picked up the wheels and threw them on the 80. Here is what it looked like before with the 31x10.50x15's.

And the new look with the 315x75x16 pink panty wheels.

Looks much better now. I also think the XB would look better with my old 31's.
