Had the day off for something else that got pushed back, didn't have plans so I decided to hit Gorman which is about 1:20 from my house. Being a Monday I only saw a few motorcycles and atvs, no other 4x4 the entire time, had the place literally to myself!

Aired down to 18 psi, cdl engaged and adjustable shocks down 2 clicks......WOW! I only have to slow down for the big bumps, wash boards and such are no match for my old girl. Tried some steep up and downs, didn't spin a wheel. Weather and condition are epic!

Also the wild flowers are at full bloom, check them out before they all dry out in couple of weeks!

Sorry didn't take any action shots since I was solo.

Not cool!

Did a little back road exploring in AZ and found wagon tracks cut into the rocks. This wasn't too far off the highway actually with Picket Post mountain in the background. Cool stuff.

View attachment 891245 did this...PO just drizzled RTV all over the hole....lol

Funny, mine blew out this week too while exploring the northern mountain ridge above town- it just suddenly pooped the O2 sensor off the rusted studs and left it hanging from the wiring harness. Sounded pretty funny to say the least.

I managed to wire the sensor back into place as a temporary fix until the studs can be replaced.

Got most of my 4" Slee lift on yesterday.

Today is probably more wiring for all the lights I'm putting on the front, and finding good places to put a few sets of relays.

Damn, but 37s look good on these trucks...now I have tire envy... :)

Call me crazy, but I think this looks "normal". Maybe I'm just used to it now... but it doesn't look monster-truckish with those tires.

Of course, when you get in it you know you're a lot higher up ... and now you have to pay attention to the 'low overhang' signs....

New to the site, i spent some time researching and then dug in. coolant system flush, installed new hoses, belts, t-stat, water pump, firewall heater hoses and PHH. A great big thanks to everyone who took the time to post information about these repairs. it was a big help...especially with the PHH.

Changed the oil to a Rotella T6 5W-40 diesel per some of the recommendations on MUD. Gonna see how she acts and I'll report back

I don't think your rig looks over-lifted at all, but then again my "wheeling history" has been with full-size rigs where 37s were the minimum.

Next on my "80s wish list" is the 6" Ironman full kit from Metal Tech, 37" GY MTRs, and a regear. What tires are you running on your rig?
