not much to show for it but here is 2 beats ready to conquer the world, a 91 HDJ and a 95 HDJ With the 24v motor/5speed/lockers

We swapped our rear brake packages so now I have the 93+ rear brake option! And finally got my e-brake to work!

Met up with RayNYC in Brooklyn Saturday morning. No crawling, camping, overlanding, but good chat and went over our trucks. Drove his LX450 with OME shocks and springs - my suspenders are def getting an upgrade now the difference is night and day. Good to meet you Ray and thanks for the advice

Saturday I washed it thinking Sunday morning I'd go to http://caffeineandoctane.com Sunday. Decided to nose it in the garage to check the alignment before the club meet Sat night since it had a pull since I bought it a month ago and was wearing the driverside tire funny. Got the front axle up on stands, made some marks on the tires to measure toe. Went to spin the tires 180deg to get the rear measurement and could hardly spin the driver side. :hmm:

Pull the wheel off and find the inside pistons hung. So there is my pull, weird tire wear and possibly poor mileage. Also found that there was no toe in the alignment. So today I installed a reman caliper new front pads since they were wore funny and had cracks from dragging. Gave it a 1/8in of toe in. I also found my exhaust leak was a cracked down pipe under the clamps from the bell housing bracket. Broke out the mig and booger welded that up.

Got the new pads bedded in. Brakes much better now! Had my 13 year old with me on the test ride stood on the brakes and she looked like a rag doll hanging from the belt. She through it was funny and said she thought the brakes were pretty good. Lol
Nice and Quite with the exhaust leak welded up. 13 year old could tell, wife I think is deaf and said she never noticed it. Tracks straight with little to no wander and very little pull that's minor enough I can live with. Feels less labored on the hwy. haven't driven it enough to see if I get better mileage but I'm think it will.

Opened up my LandcruiserPhil rock rails box. They will have to wait till the 80 gets back home. Should lighten the load a bit after the 6bt swap by replacing the MT sliders.

can I buy your old sliders ? :bounce:

We used the '80 on Saturday to go watch this:

Wheeled with good people and broke lots of stuff. @gothodgie
And within 45 minutes of being in camp my kids were covered in mud had gone swimming in the river and were complaining about how cold they were

I went to do some light wheeling (splash in some puddles and sling some mud) with my buddy; used the flashers on my 80 as road hazard markers while he crawled under his Jeep to repair his busted 4wd shifter. There was this big patch of mud on the left-hand side of the county road with three distinct ruts. Actually, it was probably two ruts and the ditch. We both drove through it in the ruts, and then with only the slightest encouragement from me (Do they drive Jeeps because they're that way, or are they that way because they drive Jeeps?), he backed up to try the ditch and a rut. Long story short, he was finally able to back out, but after he did, he was stuck in 4wd lo.

Finally had the time to pull & tear down my engine.
