Oof. That looks so hot. Wonder how that would look with a white 80.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks badass!!!!

Dats one SUPAH Badd ass looking LC right there!!!!!

BTW... Took my 80 on da sand at YOK's fishing with the braddahZ!!! No fish caught but there were waves so the fishing trip doubled as a great surf session! To top it all off my 80 looks and works great in da sand! Fun time for sure!!!!

Arizona, New Mexico border On the only passable section between Hwy 191 & Hwy 180 north of Mule Creek. Very remote and pristine area

That looks like a great area.

Typed poorly from my iPhone using IH8MUD

Actually took my stock 40th offroad Saturday (had is less than 700 miles). Tried to go up to Forest lake in American fork canyon, had to turn around because of wife concerns. The truck was killing it, btw. Good times.

The :princess: and I took the canoe up to Mowich Lake, on Mt. Ranier today. Learned before NOT to go on the week-end as everyone else did too! 80's look cool with a canoe on top ! Ended up loading up in the rain, at least it kept the dust down on the road !

Come on man, you can't just post 2 pics and write "monstaliner".more pics. Give us some close ups. Spray or roll? What's your original cruiser color.

Pat

LOL, sorry! I rolled, used metal tape over the flare holes then epoxy primered those before lining. Also trimmed the rear quarters due to some rot at the bottom.

My 80 is moonglow pearl and the liner is Sans Panties (Jeep commando green)

I'll get some more pics after I mount my BIOR front bumper tomorrow.

How far do you have to carry the canoe to the lake?

About 100 yds. There was still some snow where you launch so we loaded it up and slid it to the lake.

On Sunday, my wife and I left the house around 7:30 p.m. to go assist friends stuck in their stock Jeep in a nearby National Wildlife Refuge. I told my wife "I'm thinking about an hour there, 10 minutes to get them out, and then an hour home." We got home at midnight.

Our friends came in from the south on a graded dirt road. They drove for about a mile and 1/2 until they hit an uphill section with several washes (going up and down road, not across) running 50 to 75 yards, and over three feet deep in spots. And of course, there was a ditch, and then an upward slope, on each side of the road to keep you boxed in. The husband didn't spot for his wife, and she ended up with the driver's side down in a big wash.

We came in from the north on a trail (grass growing in between the tire tracks) and drove about four miles to reach them. Since we thought we were taking the same path they took, we went through a mud LAKE, and down a tricky stretch of washes, that I otherwise would not have attempted solo, in the dark and rain. My wife and I were saying to each other "if they drove through this, what is the 'bad' section they're stuck in like?!"

I don't have a winch, so we used a recovery strap and tried pulling from the front; no good. I couldn't get enough of an angle, so I just dragged the Jeep up the wash. Then, I crawled past them and tried pulling from the rear; same result. We finally got the Jeep to a shallow spot and took my shovel and shaped the bank into a slope. Then, after a couple of attempts, the Jeep was out.

We didn't get any photos or video (dark and raining), but I did tell the driver that my "price" for helping them was that she had to go on our FB group page, and a local Jeep group page, and ask where she could get a Jeep Recovery Vehicle decal for my Land Cruiser. She ended up posting on three groups, thanking us and praising "El Guapo" (even if she called it a Land ROVER by mistake). :p

Spent Saturday tearing into and regreasing the right front knuckle. Looked like the seal had busted and gear oil had taken over EVERYTHING. I don't think this truck has seen proper scheduled maintenance in 100k miles. It has 229k right now.

This weekend I hope to tackle the left knuckle (said with no enthusiasm whatsoever!). Oh look. More oil and grease!

Took my baby out for the first time to Pismo. Loved watching all the diesels getting stuck, while my baby and I kept on chugging
