I went to Shaver Lake with some friends camping and test fit my new Pop Top camper... I was also able to sleep on my new drawer system/sleeping platform...

When did you go to the lookout? I was there around noon on Saturday the 13th.

Went out to Clayton Oklahoma for some wheeling. It's awesome out there it's like a hidden spot. We wheeled with an arb rep, that's the jeep in picture number 1.

I really like that wheel/tire combo. If you dont mind me asking how much did it run you?
I think the total came out to be around $1100 for everything. I bought it all online.

We ate lunch at the lookout at about 115. What were you driving? There was a group there as well.

One last pic.

This was our group, minus the buggy. My 80 is all the way on the right. It would have been awesome to run into you guys.

Where did you go at Cayton? I am headed there myself this weekend, for the Oklahoma Land Cruiser meeting. There is some good stuff there, you can get as nasty or as easy as you want.

I put the video of last weekend together. Took the Cruiser to Hidden Falls off road park in Texas and did some light trails. I did do one tougher spot and bent my drive shaft and dented the exhaust but my buddy pressed the wrong button on the camera so no video. Was a good time! Think it is time to lose the running boards.

Some great trails there also some really tough ones, do you remember which trails you did?

I am really not sure. It was the first time ever there so I just followed my friend. I wanted to film more but it is so time consuming. You have to be like Survivorman and set you camera up then run back and get it. There are two spots I wish I had taken the time to film. The stock 80 really can do a lot.

Installed rear adjustable panhard and front steering damper. Today was able to replace rear pads and rotors.

My tie-rod connectors were horribly worn. I ordered new ones and this weekend I attempted to replace them. I found out that the reason my old connectors were worn so badly is because the tie rod itself was slightly bent. It was hard to see until I took it off the vehicle. The bend was down at the end of the driver's side near the end of the threads and I couldn't successfully screw the new connector in. I am now waiting on a new tie rod so I can put the whole thing back together. My truck is on blocks....hoping the parts arrive soon because I had planned on wheeling this coming weekend.

Lined my 80 White this weekend

Finally got time to do a project that I had been meaning to do for a while and I'm glad I did it! 2 kits of Tintable Raptor liner using Toyota-033 as a base color. The texture is what I expected it feels pretty durable. Time will tell...

Before and After.

^^^That white liner looks clean! I'm interested to see how the white holds up to sun, dirt, grease, tree sap etc. How did you treat the flare holes - metal tape, or did you weld 'em up?

Unfortunately, I had to use my 80 to pull a buddy's 40 home after his engine seized on the maiden voyage to the muffler shop. On the other hand, at least it was pulled home by a fellow toyota.

Are you doing a writeup on this? I have the dark green paint job as well, and have always liked the white but don't want to sell my truck over color:steer:. Let me know, thanks!
