Did some maintenance today.
Transmission fluid flush. 5 gallon exchange.
Replaced a bulb in my driving lights.
Added a tiny bit of ATF to PS reservoir.
Pumped 300 pumps moly grease into each front knuckle.
Tomorrow is:
Grease DS
Check differential fluid levels
Check tire pressure
Cleaned out a bunch of the interior. Sorted tools, work stuff, personal stuff and reboxed most of it.

Yesterday, I continued my Amazon Basics butyl sound deadening on the floor followed by gosche 395 mil sound deadening mat that will second as a carpet underlayment. I did the drivers door with both the butyl and gosche mat for fun and it closes super quiet with no vibrations. Replaced the aftermarket tails with depo OEM units and LED bulbs. Spark plugs and starting exhaust work today. Pics don’t want to upload though 🤦🏻‍♂️edit, added pics.

I bought my stolen 1997 Collector's Edition back !!! Sounds strange and yeah this whole thing has been absolutely a trip. Some of you know the back story and if not it's out on this forum somewhere but short story. Car gets stolen, insurance is being dicks with valuation, gets settled finally, a month later a friend alerts me that he found it on the street, I go get it and drive it home, call insurance and they are no help, call the detective and he ignores me, sits in the driveway for a month, call insurance again, gets towed, a couple weeks go by and I buy it back!!!
Now I want to change out the ignition tumbler and all the locks so if anyone knows where to get them that would be cool. Luckily there wasn't really any damage except for a couple of door handles and lock tumblers.
Glad to be back in the cool kids club 😁

I'm glad it all worked out for you!

Eff the insurance industry and your local cops.
The detective was even trying to blame me for taking it back and not calling him, which I did and told him that I even left a message. But of course he said he didn't get it...but then I said dude you are f'n liar!! "I have your voicemail telling me you got my message telling you that I found my stolen car!!"
Oh well, I feel like this whole experience has been a test. It's all good. Will be cool to get back in the wilderness after I get back from Thailand beginning of May.

Axle job with my lil buddy this weekend, RCV axles and birfs. Replaced the spindles and flange and cleaned off all the previous years of neglect with a **** ton of degreaser and oven cleaner(works REALLY well). Between this and the Redhead PS box I installed with 555 TRE this thing drives like a dream now.

For anyone needing/wanting to do this it’s not a hard job a little time consuming but there are lots of videos on YouTube. The only issue I had was two of the knuckle studs snapping off in the housing and one seized in. I soaked in PB drilled them out added some heat and bam new studs!...hindsight thinking about the studs snapping off Im glad I did this job when I did....

I got a little chuckle out of this. I climbed a 4110' peak behind our house this past weekend and this is what it looked like.

The people are far more dangerous (and often higher... unfortunately) than than the hills in eastern Kentucky... Yeah, 4,110' ain't much compared to the beauties in your back yard. Beautiful!

Coal mine closures (there's very little work for those who have chosen to stay), then oxy, then heroine, and now fentanyl have destroyed so many lives in the Eastern part of my State (and Western VA, WV, East TN and Western NC). Added to that, the damage from the recent flooding was evident just about everywhere. Folks there can't catch a dang break.
