replaced battery terminals
negative was cracked and positive needed refurb
repurposed a used positive terminal for the ground side - cut off old negative terminal w dremel, drilled larger hole to bolt cable to pos/now negative terminal and attached "new" terminal end after worked it to slightly smaller diameter size on a vise
cut the upright tab on plastic terminal insulator and bent metal tabs on end so can clamp down on negative post
had random toyota positive post cover in parts box so repurposed it to cover positive post - trimmed plastic to fit
also replaced fusible link/s but not enough slack in harness (prefer link inside battery box) so released plastic fender clip below battery box) for couple extra inches)
now back to other electrical stuff

It was a retired guys shop and man was he set up probably 100k worth of matching equipment and two bridge cranes to move everything. Unfortunately I don’t have the room for a 12 foot metal lathe or that might have come home with me. They helped me load it and I used the engine hoist to support getting it out. I foresee a gantry crane in my near future! I have been shopping for used ones to pull drivetrains with, people just want to much for junk these days. I miss the old days of buying stuff for a reasonable price used but the internet has ruined that.

It's hard to see because it's dark, but here's the setup I have in my shop. (2) 8" S-Beams x 20' long.

@nigelsiam- If they haven't gotten it yet, take the plugs out and spray a bunch of oil in each cylinder. That way, when they try to start it, it will smoke like crazy. That might help keep your bid to a minimum when you try to buy it back.

haha...good idea! I was thinking more like taking the distributor rotor out or something like that.

A coworker of mine has one of those Mitsubishi Vans…..Delica “Space Gear” I think it’s called. Turbo diesel, 4x4 and a 5 speed. It’s definitely spacious.

Can I ask why you didn't go with either a 34R or 35 group size battery? Both have the positive on the correct side and farther back so your not putting a POSSIBLE strain on your cables.

It was cleaned up by @Wompom at one point. Light resurface and a step hone to clean up the bore, also a sweet green paint job!

borrowed battery from the pickup til get replacement for lx
a prior owner had cut ugly hole in battery box for bundle of wires to positive side
used a rubber coil isolator for good round hole and shimano revoshift boot siliconed to the isolator
yea would be a concern if was wheelin but she's mainly just a poser and costco getter
battery is snug clamped down

Looks good. I am jealous. That said I would recommend flipping that last Johnny joint over on the driver side. With the zerk fitting on the bottom, you are likely to have a rock hit that and break it off.
