Cheers Mud :flipoff2:

Took the kids snowboarding, nice to be back in the snow. I forgot how amazing the 80 is in bad weather.

Found some snowwheeling in Leadville with @ExpoMax . Very fun plowing through a solid 2-3 feet of snow with no other tracks except from some ski/snowmobiles. Trucks did great, but we did get to bust out the winches a time or two.

Somehow getting out of the ditch I fell into in the last photo:

The hell with that noise. I HATE snow. Really, really bad. The two most miserable and stressful times in my life involved dealing with this. Once when I was maybe 4 or 5 and once when I had my kids (around the same age) with me. I'm scarred for eternity.

Here sir, Lay down on this couch and relax. Please tell me what troubles you.

Got some goodies today! Worked on an engine assembly all day. Hoping to get it in the truck tomorrow! Got some new dies from @TRAIL TAILOR to upgrade the bushing in the truck. Bought out partsouq of a couple items and got a full rebuild kit. Busy day.

Ya it's a little loud right now haha. I just put a full new exhaust on it a few months ago (pacemaker/king brown system from Australia). It was nice and quite. Naturally, I did Hells Revenge a week later and smashed in the rear low hanging resonator it came with and it got chopped off after the trip. So it is back to being loud for a bit. Come spring a new higher clearence resonator will be going on it.

And thanks @banjo1981 for putting a face on it when I posted about it

Since I'm chasing a power loss issue when driving up grades on the freeway, I finally got around to replacing my fuel pump pickup sock.

Out with the old:

In with the new:

Wasn't in terrible shape, but there is crud on it. Not a final cure, but hope it helps!

Took her for a spin to the Beach 😎

Since it got way too cold to catch up on yard work I normally reserve for the weekend, I stoked the pellet stove in the shop and finally installed the 10k Superwinch that's been sitting on my floor these past few months.

Installed it directly into my ARB bumper without having to remove it. I did clock it so that the clutch disengagement handle was on the top which also meant I had to relocate the control box. I found some black metal brackets that provided some lateral adjustability so that I could match up with the ARB pre-drilled bumper holes. I also utilized thick 1-inch long spacers to center the control box more while still clearing the front end and leaving plenty of spacer to reach the clutch handle and use the plug-in port. I did drill out the two outer pre-drilled holes to accept M8 bolts that fit the bracket openings perfectly. I used bronze M8 bolts to match the M10s that came with the winch. Also used stainless steel M5s for securing the control box to the brackets. I did use 3/4-inch long spacers to push back the winch some so that it would clear the bumper where it angles back. Very securely mounted and clean looking.

Brackets:

From front showing mounting of relocation brackets and new Factor55 55 FlatLink E Expert in grey (to match up the grey color on the Superwinch):

Angled shot of bumper setup with Cooper:

I also wasted a lot of time custom fabbing a bracket to mount my Warn Power Interrupt Kit that I was going to control through my in-cab SPOD panel, but the $100 solenoid kit was nonfunctional (apparently Warn uses China parts too). I ordered a new NVX BIR500 500-Amp Relay and Battery Isolator (probably made in China too but reviews were excellent) so will see how that plays out.

Cried a little? The arrow is pointing to an impact by fast flying debris. The impact was so violent, it double-cracked.

Good thing it’s directly in my field of view💩. It’s time for a new windscreen anyway. Despite my disdain for supporting the Chinese economy, Fuyao is probably my choice if I can find it nearby.

And…
Laughed a little:

How cute. 🥰

This dog is an 8lb mix of three tiny breeds. She loves the cruiser and riding shotty. You can see her tiny little head and her disproportionate body due to my neglecting to trim her.
She was born into this tiny body, but her mind is that of an alpha-male wolf. She chases male and female cats only to mount them and have her way with them as if she was a he. Gotta get a picture of it. Literally hits it from the back. She’s brutal.
