Doing a heart transplant

Cleaned the AC evaporator using the CRC foam stuff via the drain tube. Nothing much really came out and the water that exited was marginally dirty which was surprising considering ive never done it before

AC does appear to be a little cooler so all good

Now getting ready for a few days in the high country

Some snow wheeling again

The pan hard bushings were torn up on the Tough Dog pan hard. So we did the usual and 3d printed a set, just to see how they will do. One benefit is that there will be less binding as the center is no longer bound. I think this pand hard is about two years old.

Holiday quiz time. I have just "finished" building my 4x4Labs rear dual swing out with tire carrier, ladder and 3 jerry can holder. I say finished but I have the following 5 items left over. Luke ( @4x4labs ) posted build instructions in a thread (4x4labs rear bumper build - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/4x4labs-rear-bumper-build.142286/) which also lists the parts supplied with each bumper variant. I don't see the parts I have left over anywhere however, the thread was posted back in 2007 so maybe additional parts have been added to the kits but not reflected in the instructions. The bottom 3 pieces appear to be gussets but I can't see anywhere obvious where they would go. The top 2 pieces have a curve similar to the spindle cover but I can't see a function for them.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I swapped out the jumper that was causing a 2 amp draw. The jumper I am referring to is the window up/down while the LC is not running.

The relay I got from Toyota now has a chime to it that I do not remember previously. Only time will tell if this keeps stops the drain on the battery. Today driving the LC around I did notice that the needle on the gauge cluster was higher than it has been in the past.

When I replaced my relay, it did not add a chime. P/n 90987-02004-83.

It is fine, it might be something to do with when I pull the key out of the ignition switch.

I’ve read multiple times that, that mod cause battery drain issues. Cause led in the switches stays on constant.

That will be really interesting if that is the problem. Let us know.

I'm draining my diffs + xfer case. After two water crossings (one of them less of a crossing than a sinking), they took on water. The fluid in the rear looked like pancake batter.

I also finally worked up the courage to try my sunroof, after 16 months of ownership... it works both ways.

FOUND MY STOLEN CAR!!!
Now I need help/suggestions/advice please. It looks like those fckrs were using it for a work truck even after tearing the license plates off. Obviously the cops don't care in this city...anyway. Insurance has already paid out but I want my car back. I didn't call the police yet, I just took it back. Has anyone gone through this? I will call the insurance company and see if I can buy it back with a salvage title. Everything was gone inside but the interior is ok and looks like no damage to the body as far as I can tell.
It was soooooo weird driving my 80 again (which I guess technically isn't mine anymore 😜). It's been about 2 months.

This is wild! I’m guessing you had the keys handy. What a thrill?! When those jokers came out of wherever they were to find their stolen vehicle gone… would have been priceless to see the look on their faces
