While waiting on the heater control valve to fix the last coolant leak, I installed a touchscreen stereo. Ran wires for my backup camera to the kick panel (still need to route them to the back and into the tailgate). Got tires, shocks, corner lights, drivers door handle, replacement clips for the door card, pesky heater hose replaced… just waiting on the hvac control valve so I can actually drive it to have the tires mounted and balanced.

Took way longer than planned because I had to tear apart the inside looking for a clog in the rear line. Finally found it at a junction underneath the bottle jack. Pumps work great!
Check the bottom of that area for rust....it's a common area. There should be a plug on the bottom as well. I sprayed that whole area ...and you can access the area above and in front of the wheel well....with Fluid Film

Thanks. Will do. The bottle jack is really rusty on the bottom but the rest of it looked ok on quick scan. Will double check and spray it with some fluid film.

Tested out the new tires (Toyo Open Country AT3 285/75/16) in the snow (lots of trips to the mountain and back recently). So far I'm very impressed with these tires, I have the same tires on my truck as well.

Also gave it a mid winter wash to get the road grime off. Having a hot water hose tap in the garage is so handy.

Grew up in the PNW and skied and snowboarded on Mt Hood and Bachelor but I do not recognize this one.

Finally installed a small shop heater on the side I work on. I have a mini split on the other side of the shop and it works great just takes a while to heat 1200sqft. This one is 7500 watts and blows directly on my normal work area.

Fellow E46 touring / 80 series owner here as well 🤝🏻 Though I don’t have an M Roadster quite yet. Your truck is looking great. Almost my twin!

I left it at home to enjoy retirement and put the youngster to work.

I am I'm impressed with the subaru, it pulled a 1400 lb load uphill and accelerated better than the 80 series and it was great to keep 900 miles off the cruiser.... That being said I will not tow this trailer and bike with this car again. Stopping was way too scary 🤣 the cruiser definitely would have handled the steering and stopping duties a bit better.

Looks like your cruiser has an INTI front rack.

Finally getting around to the round eyes front end swap. Trying to get Bruiser ready for the Offroad Games next week. Bondo is not my strong suit, final paintjob should mask most of my crap. Enjoy!

Yes, this rig is OG. It's been sporting the INTI rack for years and I love it. I don't believe in roof tents so it's perfect for me.

Nice, I use a 10k Salamander that I mounted to the wall

Since people are posting their garage heating setup, here is mine: 8kW diesel heater. I installed it earlier in the winter using two previous holes that were used for an oil tank fill. Not shown in the picture, the combustion air intake is now routed outside in the foam filled hole.

Wow, does it put out the heat and makes working in the garage reasonable on the coldest days.
