Got a new battery. After going through several Super Start 34/78s over the years I got tired of paying almost $200 a piece when they bit the dust. I saw that the Duracell has 1035ca and 840cca, it knocks most other brands out of the water number wise. For $139 and a 3 year warranty from Sam’s Club it was hard to pass up. This pig was a tight fit in the battery tray even though it’s the factory size! I also had to reroute some wiring as I don’t have the side posts to utilize like I did on the 34/78 about doesn’t look as clean as it did with the other options.

I've had the same battery for 4+ years now and it's been great. Still starts strong even when I leave it out in the the single digits for weeks without starting it. (embarrassing how little I've been running it lately).

That’s good to know. After we had some below freezing temps earlier this month, the lack of CCAs in my other battery showed its ugly head. I’d be very happy if I got 4 years out of this battery!

Now you’ve done it. You’re going to need a model 29 to go with that rifle.

I soldered in a diode for auto-up driver’s window, and installed Honda odyssey windshield sprayers.
Haven’t really gotten into revolvers yet.😁 However S&W just came out with a lever rifle in 44 mag. Going to wait for the 45-70 version to come out.

If you're ever in Austin let me know. You can try mine. Fair warning though, you're going to fall in love with it.

I thought I would post this here, but it not my rig; it was someone else's "what have you done this weekend". I spotted this while I was on a trip to the Serengeti in Tanzania this past couple of weeks. There was a leopard lounging in the tree, after just eaten part of a baby zebra. I spotted the rig a ways out, and was more interested in checking out the build, over checking out the leopard for a bit. I think my wife said something to the effect of "we're not here to look at Land Cruisers".

I have a 100, so I do not read this thread often. Is this member on mud?

Ticked off a handful of drivers in Atlanta.

Driving to dinner last night I noticed driver's low-beam, which had been working the day before, was out. Then, after dinner, the passenger low-beam also didn't fire up and I had to drive the few miles home with the high-beams on. I thought for sure that there was a wiring or relay issue as two bulbs shouldn't burn out at essentially the same time like that. Got home and both of the 9011 low-beam bulbs were burned out, swapped new ones in and all appears to be well :) Lights go out when I turn the key off and then open the door, etc.

The old ones were 6+ years and 10s of thousands of miles old so this may have just been a coincidence though I probably need to monitor voltages and keep an eye out for alternator or other issues that may have caused this. Any ideas for something that would burn out both low beams so closely together like that but cause no other noticeable issues?

Pulled today. Just confirming what I broke snow wheeling.

Was able to sneak into the garage for an hour on Saturday and replaced the gutter mounts on my Prinsu rack with the updated brackets. I never had an issue with the original brackets but this new design is definitely MUCH better.

I also swapped out my taillights for some cheapo LED ones. I wrapped up my OEM taillights and put them on the shelf since they're in good shape. I won't feel bad if I smack these cheap ones on the trail.

Now back to the big headache that's inside the garage hiding behind the 80. I'm gonna need to enlist some MUD help to get that thing finished up.

How much interference do those rear taillight leds cause with your ham/gmrs? I reverted back to incandescent bulbs in several places due to the interference leds caused. I really like those taillights though.

Upper control arms. A little more difficult than I thought since the bolts are removed towards the springs and there's not enough clearance. I used the hi-lift to jack up the drivers side and pull the bolt between the coils. I only wish it was that easy on the passenger side. I had to jack up the rear to pretty extreme heights, remove the shock, and the sway far for full droop, and rotate the spring before I could get the bolt out.

I reinstalled the bolts reverse from the factory. I can't use an impact on the nuts anymore but removing the bolts is a LOT easier.

Oh and once again the mechanical jack saves the day and makes fine tuning easy.

I haven't noticed any interference.

why did you have to remove the bolts for the upper control arms? you should be able to adjust the pinion using the adjusters on the arms without removing them.

I replaced the stock arms with new Dobinson adjustable upper arms. You can see the new arm hanging in the picture.

BTW, the new arms fixed my 50mph vibration and the Cruiser seemed a lot smoother at 70mph.

gotcha. I misunderstood your post. I thought you already had the dobinson arms are were trying to get pinion angle correct. Didn't understand why you'd need to remove one end of the arms if you already had the adjustables. I didn't catch that you were removing the stock arms.
