Found this weird thing in the middle of nowhere BLM, at first I thought it was some weird windmill but upon closer inspection the thing on top is bolted down with three supports and it was never designed to spin.

Maybe it's some weird sculpture...

I also finally got around to removing the led lights and went back to OEM. Now my cruise control works with my towing harness hooked up.

USFS snow gauge. The stains are possibly from glycol to melt the snow to get an accurate water content measurement. Just a guess.

Judging by the holes, I think a lot of people disagree. It's clearly a rifle target.

Probably not, it's on BLM not FS land and it's in an area that has probably never had more than a few inches of snow...

Cool little function on the I-phone Google app, search line has a camera icon you can search by picture.

Cool, I have seen all kinds of weather stations but never one of these. But sure enough it is a precipitation gauge.

Got my motor back have a mostly new short block. New pistons bored block .5 over painted and will be assembling hopefully next month. Head rebuilt and cleaned. Injectors cleaned and tested. Now I just have to remember how to put a motor back together I took apart over 5 months ago!

Thanks let me know if I don't have something you need.
I had the same experience ... all kinds of stuff I didn't know I needed (and ordered)!

Thanks for what I'm assuming is a hell of a lot of hard work figuring the products out.

absolutely, looks like you're fairly local to me as well. thank you for providing such awesome solutions to the community!

Ever seen what a 24 year old front e-locker looks like that has likely never in its life ever been used looks like?

Just going thru and figuring out why neither locker would actuate. Lights flash. Rear is a problem but the front seemed fine. The outside looks it’s age so figured it likely needed to be rebuilt.

Well, everything internally was absolutely perfect. Zero armature dust from complete lack of use. Nothing. Zero dust. Even the grease was untouched except for the test done here. It was pretty wild to see. So used to seeing these things a complete mess. Wild.

On my 1995 80, when I was buying it from the original owner I mentioned when signing the paper work that it was special because it had diff lockers. He said "I don't understand, doesn't every car have door locks?" So I told him and he said "Oh I always wondered what that little dial switch did". The front locker would not light up. Disconnecting the harness by the air box and re-connecting solved the issue.

New front rotors and pads, arp studs, nut huggers, new seals bearings and rebuild of front axle, rotated tired…9 hours total…lots of clean up
I'm guessing it wasn't your first time then. Mine took way more than 9 hours but I also cleaned the crap out of every part before reassembly.

Second or third go round most time consuming thing was double nutting all the studs and extracting them in order to install the arp studs…could probably been done in 6 if I hustled.
