Built a stand for working on the diffs. Set the backlash and pinion preliad and found pinion depth is too deep with the stock shim. I’m in the long process of front and rear lockers and new gears.

Why not white to match?This has been my latest project on the 80. Had some SPARE doors that I turned into some half doors. Like how it came out. Waiting for some cup holder inserts to come in to put those in the doors. Still retains the factory mirror location and window controls for the rear windows and door looks on all doors. Even though it’s kinda useless on the front lol.

Never found a good white to match. I threw on some 045 paint I bought that was supposed to match but it was way off. So I just threw on some black until I find something better to matchWhy not white to match?
I had a full spare set of doors that I held onto for years with plans to make half doors (all 4 doors), but never got to it and ended up selling the doors.
Awesome! Really wish someone would make some sort of quick disco system for 80 doors. theres a harness disconnect behind the kickpanels, my speakers are wired up to that harness so its 2 connectors, 4 bolts, and the slider pin to remove the doorsAwesome! What are you using for trans cooler?Just returned from a 3 day weekend, our first this year ! My beast has been down for almost 2 months as I sorted a bunch of stuff that’s been on my ‘to do‘ list for way too long. The shutdown made it a little easier.....
Added additional trans cooler
New rotors, calipers and pads in all 4 corners
Complete front birf repack
Rear bearing repack and park brake rebuild
Added hydroboost and new Wilwood master cylinder
All new brake lines
All new fluids, all diffs, and engine oil.
Installed sound deadening into all 4 doors and cleaned window runs
Other misc stuff I’m forgetting.....
Headed out to NV and the East fork of the Carson River which is about 4 miles South of Gardnerville, NV.
Camped by the river for 3 days doing not much and just enjoying the surroundings. Pretty decent wheeling to get in and out and the truck performed flawlessly.
Already planning our next trip for the next two weeks....

I did a coolant flush and belt replacement. Slowly knocking out things as I get ready to go down the turbo rabbit hole.
