I took a couple of key blanks I've had for about a year down to the local dealership and they cut them for free (I was, of course, picking up some parts I'd ordered). Gone are my days of living dangerously with just a single key. Not especially fond of the size and feel of the new key versus the old one.

Came back home to Florida after driving all around the USA.

A quick overnighter out in "the wilds" of the Texas panhandle. I sure do miss living in the PNW but for now, this will have to do...

Test fitted this new awning. I don’t like how the brackets hang the awning off over the side of the rack. This truck is fat enough LOL

So far so good though. Looking at other mounting options...

I was running 37s before with 2" bump extensions was hoping not to limit up travel any more but also did not want to cut into the cabin. looks like I well have to go to 21/2" extensions as I have cut as fare as you can with out going into the cabin.

Surprise head gasket failure on the 1/01/20 go figure, quick tear down and rebuilt with new injectors, new gaskets of course, egr delete and block of, removed egr related components, pcv catch can, motor mounts, new complete power steering overhaul hoses and all ( been a lingering problem), new electrical wiring for starter and alt, new over sized grounds. Now runs like clock work 169,000miles 96’ lx450.

very nice. how do you like that firepan? I've seen it on Amazon.

Hey @samtoddlee sorry for late reply here - that was the first time using it, easy to set up, served its purpose well. Didn't get a grill for it, though that would be nice. The screen was pretty blackened after one night so I can't imagine it will last all that long, but I'd recommend it. It's only ~$50 now on AMZN. Amazon product ASIN B07G9NY6G8

Missing the PNW? If you said “I miss the beer” We’d understand, but being from SanFran and Vancouver Island not sure why? U R in TX enough said, it must suck really bad, it is TX. Shangri-La is NM.

I'm a weekend behind on posting this.

Took my new ride out to the trails @ AOP. Did OK except for a rock and a tree. Guess it could be worse.

Then I took both axles out to get balanced, chasing a driveline vibration that's driving me nuts. They both needed a fair amount of weight, vibrations are better but still there.

Swapped on some Wildpeak AT3W after finding a post in the Deals section with a great price. So far they seem lighter and quieter than the Toyo MTs, slightly less aggressive tread for a mixed DD/trail truck.

Began the reconditioning process on a set of used door cards. Using Chemical Guys cleaners and a Bissell extractor I was very happy with the results. Not sure what the stains were but it was a nasty brown liquid that had been there for years. Couple of treatments and it came right out 👍.
