Those flip ups are spicy. How well do they seal when shut?

As @Fj81 said no leaks. In most cases more water proof than the factory slider. We now use a double bubble seal that per our instructions is so tight when first installed the panel does bow and needs a couple weeks of warm weather for the bubble seals to compress and the panel flatten out. Our Gullwing windows have logged more trouble free miles and been seen in more countries than any other window.

The Gullwings on my 80 series are still the original hand cut prototypes. They dont leak and the final CNC production design fit is better.

you cant argue with LAB results.

Got mine from a 2002 RX300 I think. The Low/off/high are a little harder to find than the push button on/off style. Make sure you get the pigtail too - I posted the wiring diagram in this thread for posterity sake

Heated Seat Switches RX300

Don't think my seats are any hotter because of the switches but do love the look vs the round buttons that came with! Good luck!
Perfect...thanks fo the info

Ive done everything to this truck except pull guages.
Easy peasy, the black surround by the guages has two screws, then it is just held in with clips. To pull out this black surround you need to pop off the panel that is directly below it. It is just clipped in, but the panel under the column has a couple stubs that hold on to this one. You can gently pull down on the cover and get that center piece out.

Or start from the bottom up. Its just a few screws to get the panel under the column off, then the other two come off no problem. Im not at my 80 if not I would take a shot of it.

Use the video below as a guide to pull your gauges for bulb replacement.

I did this last week for the first time and it was not bad at all.

Drove 1200 miles from NJ to MS pulling a 2000lb box trailer. About 200 miles into the trip, trying to maintain 65mph speed of traffic on an upgrade, I briefly hit 4000 rpm on a downshift and blew out the rear seam on the stock muffler. Almost immediately the truck threw a PO125 code and the muffler would vibrate obnoxiously loud under 3000 rpm :bang:. Made for a fun remaining 13 hours with the OD off to keep the rpm’s over 3K.

But there is a happy ending. I found a small town muffler shop in Pascagoula, MS this AM and was there when he opened. $100 cash and 45 min later I had a new muffler and the code was gone :). While not a high dollar custom SS exhaust, it fixed my problem and I had a VERY enjoyable visit with the owner discussing local politics, vehicles in general, and the state of the world. You can’t put a price tag on customer service like that .

I should be working on the axles, but it seemed more like work than fun...

Made an extinguisher mount for under the drivers seat. threw some paint on it.

Picked up some wrench holders, rivot'd them to the tailgate storage, gonna make some straps with buckles, hinged from one side to hold wrenches.

I have tool rolls, but I dislike unrolling them to find a wrench for little things, I'll see how this works if I like it or regret it. Lazy day, but maybe I'll go work on the straps for a bit and then the axles.

Good video...will be on the to-do list! Speaking of good "how-to" videos, there are quite a few of them out there, but it takes some digging to find them at times. Question for the mods @woody @beno is it feasible to create a subsection on the forum to house all these LC specific "How-To" repair videos? Maybe withing the FAQs or a series specific subforum?

I finally installed a Magnaflow Y-pipe, a used rear cat converter. Nothing wrong with the cats themselves, just lots of pinholes with that old metal. It sounds like a Lexus now, though i do miss the tractor sound.

Rebuilt the knuckles in my new to me fzj80. Three tablespoons of chocolate milk and a smear of grease on one side. Some hard substance that was formerly grease on the other. Good times.

Back in and out of the garage.
Extinguisher mount painted and installed, got the handles in the drawers, and straps built to hold wrenches in place.

Who likes pictures? (I do!)

Loading up for the weekend. And got some minor wiring done and temp installed my blue sea usb and 12v socket panels where the third row OH sh#% handles go. Just to have access from the gullwings. Also wired in a rear hatch light strip. Gonna go out and use it and see what I want to move around.
