I've been working on a DIY rack.... still need to bend (break) the gutter mounts & find latches or build my own.

Was this in California? At roughly 3.88 a gallon, you found the states cheapest gas. A friend of mine from San Diego posted the other day on Facebook a Chevron station charging 5.09 a gallon.

Wow , we're around $2.52 here in Central Florida.

oem motor? or resonable facsimile
Reasonable facsimile. The OEM motor was still good. The mechanism was all wonky and the glides are worn out. I'm going to keep just the motors and possibly put them on the new mechanicals if the non oem motor tanks.. It appears the holes line up.

The Chevron and the Shell are within .04 cents of each other near my place, 2.93 vs. 2.89 for regular. I normally fill up at Chevron as my in-laws get reward points for grocery shopping and they don't use them so the wife and I do. We get anywhere from .60-1.00 a dollar off.

Had the engine pulled and rebuilt - main bearing shot. New steering box, front axle rebuild, new brakes and rotors, new u joints, new leathers installed after finally receiving from landcruiser heaven and polished it all off with scangauge!

Road test out to Death Valley for some adventure time - the things you see 40 miles from the nearest paved road boggles the mind sometimes.....

Cruisers all did fine. Xterra... well... they’re capable. @rjinga did great with his rear locker. Great time.

Well, I've been working on their new home... 750 sq feet of the most expensive addition I've ever seen. I'd fire the contractor but I'm him!

Framing done, felt on the roof and mostly wired.

in no particular order, some what of a recap of this week.

went fishing, dropped off decorations for the wedding reception, saw a 70 series cruiser, drank a soda, drank a coffee or several, drove around bridesmaids to and from the reception, picked up a few cases of wine for the reception, drove myself and all the groomsmen to the wedding service, saw a 60 series cruiser, picked up decorations from the reception and the inlaws house that they rented, saw a 200 series cruiser drove myself and my wife to our hotel after the reception, got somewhat valet parked by a friend, drove around in a nor'easter, got some looks from other guests at the hotel when I pulled up, and probably some other stuff that I forgot

I went to Fall Crawl his past weekend. Coming home from work, my cruiser threw an alternator belt. I called @beno and he got me a full set of belts in the mail within 5 minutes. He also gave me a quick consult on the condition of the remaining belt. I grabbed a Gates to keep as a spare, just in case and made it to the run with the remaining belt.

My wife insisted on coming, 8 months pregnant and all. We had a great time and the cruiser made easy work of all the trails... ran open diffs the entire day! (Lots more pics on my build thread)
