It is a little bit darker than it looked in that first pic.

Finally finished up the rear drawer build. It has been almost a year since I started it but I finally found the carpet that was close enough to the right color for me to be happy with it and finished it up yesterday.

Those are the ugliest dogs I've ever seen on this forum.

They pack a mean bite, best theft detterent system I've ever had!

thats a real picture of your truck??

Looks like I've been called out. Truth is the truck is all CG, and never owned a Land Cruiser this whole time.:flipoff2:

You hide it well and thanks for purchasing our swaybar disconnects to help fund my day to day living even though you have no 80 series:D

yea maybe the question didnt translate, is that an actual pic with cgi added to it OR is all CGI the LC looks like a scale model.

Finally pulled the trigger on a blue hub fan clutch and some 20K fluid. Putting that in today as soon as it cools down. Been getting up to around 210-215 in this heat we've been having. Should do the trick.

Thought I really messed up last week as it started to overheat. Turned out I had a pinhole in the upper radiator hose that was only leaking at highway speeds it seemed (which is why I didn't notice till the coolant got low). Replaced the upper and lower hoses with OEM (and got rid of the stupid OE spring clamps) and that seems to be good.

After this I'll find some time to pull my Y pipe (again) and replace the broken stud and blown gaskets and it won't sound like a pile of crap driving around. Then I can get back to mods and hopefully find some way to clean my headliner since the OP left the sunroof drains clogged too long and it mildewed.

Hopefully I can shop for a roof rack soon and get rid of the stocker and actually use it for something. Oh, and install my Viair kit I've had for like 6 years and never installed on anything...

After almost 2 yrs of searching, I finally landed this -- an LX450. I named her "Berky" partly because of where she's from (Berkeley, CA) and simply because she demands a portion of the paycheck deposited in her (Berkshire Hathaway). Some sort of "investment" so to speak.

She's bone stock, no nasty offroad experience with a scratch-free belly. The underside was actually full of webs and leaves. Previous owner pretty much wanted to clear out some 'old unused stuff' at their place and the truck just couldn't make the cut and had to find a new home. Oh well, one man's poison is another man's meat. '97 LX450 190K miles, only 10K miles put on it in the last 10 years. AC was disfunctional, No rust except on the 3rd row seats which were probably out in the elements, no HG leaks, afew recently done maintance - radiator and distributor.

Anyway, for its price, being wayyyyy below market value, it was a no-brainer. Made the deal happen and the truck found a new home in sunny San Diego from the bay area.

Despite having a 100, I've always had a soft-spot for the mighty-80. Getting rid of the built 100 wasn't something I wanted to even consider and if I could keep them both I would rather have done so. Anyway, I will be keeping them both and they will probably have slightly different roles.

Looking forward to building the old gal. Might just consider a build thread.

First things out/deleted (for sale/give away -- [running boards , 3rd row seats , spare tire & holder, factory hitch ], and dirt from the seat cracks
