Lots of folks like to chatter, but Ill tell you I was the only person that actually stepped in and got the vidtim off the hood of the moving stolen vehicle and out of harms way, and then the police asked If Id use the LC to block the road as there is only one way in or out of the town/Island I live on. twice in 45 days The land cruiser has done the polices job and then pulled a women to =safety when the ocean got angry and the NAt guard watched from thier up armored frankenstien Land cruisers dont need no sticking badgers.
Nice save. Side note: Next time let the LEO's use the vehicles owned by the tax payers to block the roadway. Your rig is too sweet for that duty.

Been putting a bunch of time into the Cruiser lately so decided to take drive out to the desert to do a bit of shooting.

Hit up Windrock TN for the first time with a couple regulars, and some new guys from Tacoma World. Enjoyed four tanks of over 13mpg there and back, peaking at 13.5mpg with a slight headwind in Indiana heading north, proving that a good tune up really does help. I picked up a peak of 1.5mpg from my fall trip to Flat Nasty in MO. Ended up a little over 1100 miles round trip.

13.5 mpg on 40's. Time for half the forum to go out back and shoot themselves.

40's, half an exo, and a 268k mile 1fz-fe still running its factory head gasket.

That was at 70mph, too. 219 miles according to the odometer, 217 on the GPS, 16.08 gallons. 13.495 mpg by GPS.

Videofrom the new 80 series dash cam. A-Cross road is 24 miles long of mild to wild washboard. Smooth in the 80 series at 14PSI.

What cam set up are you using? I like that it has mph and GPS coordinates.

Then a buddy of mine was having all kinds of problems with his new 2016 trail edition 4runer - running rough - high idle - tracked it down to a sheared spark plug connector terminal wire - out comes the soldering iron for another parking lot rescue job.

The offending connector!

Everyone needs a buddy with a landcruiser!

That's the Number 3 fuel injector connector, and it looks like rodent damage. He should be looking for other wires those pesky critters have gotten to, then may want to make an insurance claim for a replacement wiring harness.

So in future - how do you prevent this? Anything to spray in and around engine that rodents won’t like? This happened camping!
Thanks in advance!

Copenhagen sprinkled around. I’ve also heard human hair but that’s going to smell bad when it heats up.

Some have said to put peppermint lifesavers underhood. Supposedly they don't like the smell of those either.

Moth balls
Dryer Lint sheets
Mouse/rat bait
Shaving cream (menthol)
Peppermint lifesavers
Ice Cream
Cat

All at once and you're sure to have a fire. But it will smell nice! Except for the cat cooking.

coyote urine woks to keep deer out the garden, should keep mice away too. yep, you can buy it, no need to harvest it.
