Rescued my plow truck, which was nose into a snowbank and hung up on a rock. 2 tugs, came right out. No drama, just another solid performance from my Cruiser. As always!

I made a last minute moonshine induced decision new years eve to go wheel new years day.. the park was having an event all weekend and was open monday.. They said everyone pulled out about an hour before i got there so i had the whole park to myself.. i stayed a lot more cautious being completely alone but still had a great time and they didn't make me pay!!

Recently replaced the starter so of across the alternator wasn too far behind. Fun replacing that in a 35 degree garage. Where’s global warming when you need it.

I haven't done this yet it is on short list but, found this place frostfighter.com for kits to replace or repair rear window defoggers. Check it out, I didn't find a exact fit but they do have some universals that would work. Lets us know if you do it
there it is, I meant to look this up and there it is.

Where could one order this, I didn't see it on the site. Is it just cost back with MagnaFlow 23120 down pipe?

Yep, It runs from the front cat back. The Magnaflow down pipe fits and slows well so I didn't see the need to reinvent the wheel there. For 95-97 80 series they're at the link below. I haven't finished up 93-94 yet. Stainless Exhaust

I used AC but had it set on recirculating. I'll try outside air. Only bummer about that is that, when it's -20F outside, the heater doesn't really get hot... just warm. I'm guessing this is related to the diesel swap? (engine temps take forever to register when it's cold too)

The 1HD-T is a cold blooded beast, I run my webasto when it's this cold, even when the truck has been in my heated garage, to help bring temps up more quickly. It would never warm up idling, it needs some load to generate heat, so it's a fine line between babying it while it's cold and trying to get it to warm up, lol.

My 1HD-T is blowing hot after driving a couple KM. Even idling it gets to the "warm but not hot" stage. It's been below -20ºC for a while.

Painted the quarter panel armor on my piece of crap.

Oh we are getting globally warmed like a mofo right now.

Interesting, both of mine would idle for an hour or more at -10C and never register on the temp gauge. Even with some cardboard jammed in front of the rad.

Somehow I managed not to take any pictures, but we just completed a 1500 mi road trip to Anza Borrego then the 395 up to Lake Tahoe and back west to the Santa Cruz mountains. First time in about 15 years I went north instead of south for Christmas break. Truck averaged about 13 mpg on the new 4.88's. Cruised at 75 mph. Found about 5 lbs of chantrelles and visited some friends. Aside from seeing fellow MUD members in Borrego, I think I only saw 2 other 80's the entire trip.

Mine is the same. Will get just warm from idling. If I drive, it will warm up in a few miles but wont really be hot unless I push the engine a little bit.
