Because even with all the bullcrap it's still the best place to meet beautifull women, make bucket loads of cash super fast and still have amazing outdoor activities like running some of the best trails on the planet.
Having grown up in the San Joaquin Valley and now living in the south, I'd have to say Tennessee rivals your statement if not exceeds it. Values are better, cost of living is the lowest anywhere and pay is great. Not to mention the outdoors here have everything to offer anyone.

How's the surf? :D

Shouldn’t be. Does your AC work? If so and you’re still fogging up then you might have a tiny pin hole leak in your heater core.
The heat does defog my windows... just not very well. When it's cold out, the area where my vents are aimed created clear spots but the edges of my windows get a framing of frozen fog. Maybe I should clean out the blower motor?

There may also be excessive moisture behind the dash from a leaky windshield or sunroof. Sometimes it is just a matter of cold glass and hot, damp air from you and your passengers.

The rear windows are the foggiest, so my guess is number 2. And it's only a problem when the temps are in the teens or lower. But, I am surprised that, even with the fan on high, the A/C and heat can't defog the entire vehicle. Does that happen with anyone else?

Check your rocker and door drains while you are at it.

I haven't done this yet it is on short list but, found this place frostfighter.com for kits to replace or repair rear window defoggers. Check it out, I didn't find a exact fit but they do have some universals that would work. Lets us know if you do it

Are you leaving the AC button lit when you're using modes other than full defrost? Lots of people get it in their heads that they don't want the AC running in the winter and hit that button to kill the AC, but the HVAC system uses the AC to dry the air that comes out the vents, which will help with the fogging issue.

That being said, I was having issues with fogging the last couple days as well, leaving the warm garage and hitting the -30C, fan on high it just couldn't keep the rear/side windows clear.

Also set it to OUTSIDE air, NOT recirculating air. If you recirculate, you are moving around MOIST air.

I used AC but had it set on recirculating. I'll try outside air. Only bummer about that is that, when it's -20F outside, the heater doesn't really get hot... just warm. I'm guessing this is related to the diesel swap? (engine temps take forever to register when it's cold too)

The 1HD-T is a cold blooded beast, I run my webasto when it's this cold, even when the truck has been in my heated garage, to help bring temps up more quickly. It would never warm up idling, it needs some load to generate heat, so it's a fine line between babying it while it's cold and trying to get it to warm up, lol.

You had one job 4 Wheel Parts Magazine. This is why Jeep folk shouldn't comment on Toyota. o_O :flipoff2:

Ha, percentage
Did this a couple days ago. My highlift has migrated a few times on my rear bumper. It was first mounted toward the middle of the truck. Then it got moved close to the hinge when I added a fuel can basket last year. It's bugged me since then because the lift gate would lightly touch the highlift when I opened the lift gate. So I built new mounts that put it back to the center of the truck so I don't have a problem with the liftgate any more.

original.

Moved to hinge side because of fuel can basket

New location

What bolts did you use so your Jerry can would not rub?

I did an engine swap a couple of months ago, the AC must have had a leak, it was completely discharged. So I don't have an AC option, like you I need to run on recirculate to get some heat out of the vents. Most of the time, engine temps run around 177-181, might warm up to 185 if I'm stopped at a light for a bit, but drops down once I start moving. The recirculate option works pretty good by myself as long as I keep my boots fairly dry, once I add a passenger or two that option is out. Already bypassed the under seat heater, due to rotted out heater lines. Thinking a propane tank with a Tiger torch (sarcasm) might work. Outside temp -18 celsius (0 Fahrenheit), bit better today only -8 (18 Fahrenheit). Ironically, last summer was hovering in the mid thirties (Centigrade) for almost two months, 95's for you old school Fahrenheit guys.

This is more like what i didn't get to do on the 80.

Ordered my KO2s thru Costco online, and tires got shipped yesterday. Tried to get it mounted this morning hoping to use the Cruiser for a snow trail run tomorrow. 1 1/2hr later, got a call from the tire guy saying i got the wrong size tires. WTF, i was like i am sure it's 285/75/16. Well turns out they say it's too big, it will rub, federal blahblah won't allow them to install the tires. I asked if they have a waiver, nope nada. Sigh, so i said eff it and get it loaded in the truck.

So PSA, get your non-standard sized tires not thru Costco.

They should have told you up front, that has been a Costco policy for years. I did the same thing probably 10 years ago, but at least they told me they wouldn't install them. I ended up going to a different vendor that included mounting and balancing

i bought it at costco online, using the choose by tire size... i am sure there's a fine print somewhere. I got my install refund. Truthfully, i don't use the free rotation services so i am not too unhappy about that. So I'm bringing it to a shop that installs anything without question. Had them install a 10yr old winter tires set which DT denied, and 35 tires on my Jeep and they were all just betting if it's gonna rub or not, lol.

This is my vent temp with fresh air and the outside air temp.
