Pulled this out of the tread (not between the tread but in the tread) of my tire. As you can see it about two inches long and it is made of steel. There is a tree service in the neighborhood and I think it might be from the chipper. It was in 2/3 of the way so no patching that, I had to get a new tire

That is big chunk of old metal, always amazed that these things find a way into tires. Coming out of the foothills around Boulder, I heard a clang! and then my rear new KO2 went flat in 20 seconds, must of picked something up, and then it popped out at highway speed. Took 2 plugs to get it to not leak (much). hole was on through the top of the outer tread. Was real happy to have a plug kit and good air pump, was doing the fix at a gas station off the hwy and there were a bunch of sketchy dudes making comments about how I get my tire fixed for "free" and my air was "free". My best NYC attitude worked well that night to make them back off a bit, but they watched me like vultures. Always best to be prepared. I should have taken pictures.

Installed my Land Tank Caster Correction Plates for a 2.5 inch lift.

I put in a quart of 10w40. Annual oil change isn’t till April.

Fixed one of my broken muffler hanger thingies.

Did add a little something to my new rack. I may bolt it to the side of the rack utilizing the factory holes/slots with a longer carriage bolt and some spacers. This would allow me to lose some altitude but if I put rotopax up top, then it won’t matter. Really makes me want to go wheeling now!!!!

@SUMMIT CRUISERS Jr helped me (well he did the work, I just watched and learned) custom mount a BJ70 emblem onto my FZJ80 grille. Very happy with the results.

And in between working on @WillGentry's grille and swing out kits, I built a new attachment to carry a couple of bikes.

For trips with 3 or more people I will continue to take the Northshore, but for 1-2 people I will use this rack as it opens with the cooler swing out and has 40" of ground clearance.

I used a couple of Yakima Highrollers that were sitting around and built a frame to hold them that bolts to the underside of my cooler basket. The top of the bikes are pretty much equal with the top of the roof rack.

Now it just needs some torture testing with some not as nice bikes on the back to make are the yakimas can handle what they will be dished.

And yes I have trimmed down the extra length on them and plan to add a trailer brake/turn signal set up to the highroller in the back.

The ol’ 92 got to get out and stretch her legs a little bit. Didn’t want to hassle with taking the swingouts off the 93 to carry a bunch of trim for my house so I took her. She also got a bath at the heated car wash followed by the sprinkler treatment underneath when we got home. Then back in the garage where she’s safe.

She fired right up without skipping a beat. She had sat for 8 weeks or so since starting. So she got a good 30 mile run on the interstate to shake off the cobwebs.

one of my center caps walked away so I ended up getting some fleabay replacements. actually look pretty decent but the clips are horrible: way to tight and no 'spring' in them. they crack as soon as they are flexed a little
