Gonna have to give my cousin some crap for the weak tour...I was just in Big Trees last month. That looks pretty sweet. I did make to see all the cool stuff Georg had going in the shop on my way though.

WHY ISN'T THE FORKLIFT A TOYOTA TOO!?!!!

Then that pic would truly have been a little slice of heaven...

Playing catchup on some lil issues. Seems a tailgate stay retaining bolt wiggled it's way free. On it's way it stripped out the threads. Tryed to get new bolt in from spare gate, no way had to retap. 5/16in fits perfect then replaced with pan head bolt for now( unless it works)tied up diff breather line and vacuum out enuff dog hair to make another Shepard. Gathered sage and scouted deer hunting camp. Forgot keys. Bolt cutter wouldn't scratch fing lock. Cut through stamped steel hasp like butter.

Drove it!! :bounce:

Ok. Jump packed it then drove it. First time in months. 60 days in a camry will make this thing feel all kinds of big and clunky........yet still awesome.

finished my seat risers extensions.
the added height makes a world of difference for me.
this is almost as comfy as my bronco, definitely have more leg room and since i don't have any back seat i don't worry about leg room back there.

Dropped off my sexy new dual swing out Trail Tailor aka @reevesci rear bumper to the powder coater today. She has been powder coating for nearly 40 years (started in her grandparents shop when she was 14 back when powdercoating first became a "thing" in the US). Anyway, she looked at the bumper and accessories and said "I've seen a lot of really nice welding in my life, this is right at the top!" She wouldn't stop talking about the welds. It was pretty cool.

She did my Trail Tailor roof rack and sliders last year but I didn't really get a chance to talk to her much then. Cool lady.

Now I just have to wait patiently until next week...sigh.

Been messing with the two fan clutches that I have (one black hub, one blue) and trying different oil weights to get a little better cooling. Was trying 20K CST in the black hub clutch, but might try 30K CST in the blue hub and see which fairs better.
After 5 different attempts with different weights of oil in the fan clutch, I ended up with a blend of 7 parts 30K CST and one part 10K CST in my blue fan clutch to give me the best result. Temps have dropped from 197-205* to a fairly solid 187-192* which I like better. Just don't like getting into the 200's under normal circumstances.

I went through this pain a few weeks back. I tried 10K 15K and 20K in my black hub before finally buying a new blue hub and putting 30K in it. I honestly can say I don't see any major differences between the weights I tried. Freeway temps are steady around 190f at 70mph but will climb to 200ish as soon as I am in traffic. Last weekend I flushed the cooling system and replaced the hoses and this also made little or no difference. My guess is that with Ambient temperatures of 90+ this is as good as I can expect.
